Why do you imagine everything would be more split in this scenario and not consolidated into bigger countries/alliances

Largely because nuclear war would have destroyed a lot of the infrastructure of these nations and so populations would be relatively smaller. With that in mind, militaries would be spread pretty thin even after 200 years.

Fair, I think morbidly I was thinking after the initial almost extinction nuclear events there would be like a few superpowers take advantage and run the world but even if that did happen more war and then being able to dispose of the waste could result in your scenario easily

Started playing some Hearts of Iron IV a while back and I found a really interesting modern-day mod for it. Gonna be playing as Ukraine and attempting to beat back Russian influence :garrett

Nothing unusual folks, just some casual Hearts of Iron 4 modding drama.

"TFR" is The Fire Rises, which is a mod set in the 2020s where everything just goes to shit because of Super-COVID.

So I've been playing with mods, take a wild guess who I am.
The dark yellow one in northern Africa (Guess it would be Algeria/Tunisia)... because that's the middle of the map :lol

Ah yes... good ol' Discord drama. People will never learn.

On my CK3 game, I realized last night I've successfully converted the Kingdom of Castille in Spain to Irish culture lol

In my first character I married my second daughter to the heir of the kingdom (don't remember if he was at the time or that worked out for me later). After that character died and I took over as my daughter, the sister married to the prince inherited a duchy in Ireland so moved back there and they have a son, meanwhile her husband becomes king and the son his heir. So I take him as a ward and cover him to Irish, he already had red hair anyway.

Eventually my sister goes crazy and dies and her husband tried to claim the county for Castille and I easily put him down, imprison him, torture him, then ransom him back. He eventually becomes King of Castille, which then goes to my nephew that I converted to Irish culture who had like 5 Irish children himself in Spain and his oldest is now ruling lol

Update on my Ireland game after playing a shit ton yesterday:

Now in the 4th generation, my new character started very unpopular so I thought I would just goad a vassel or two into the war they wanted to get it over with, but all but one also joined in the rebellion so I was pretty outmatched. My allies in France and Poland were also busy with their own issues so I wasn't sure if they would make it to help. I was able to shut down a couple of the armies individually before they could meet up, but once they joined together I was fucked so I basically just ran around Ireland as they chased me for awhile until I finally got caught in a battle when they cornered me before I could embark into the ocean. That battle was the longest stalemate I'd ever seen as somehow my army was able to hold their own without getting wrecked and right about that time the allies finally made it to Ireland and we just destroy them. That war goes easy then and after it I've essentially imprisoned all but one of my vassals including all three of my younger brothers.

Since I then had all the power over them, I was able to rework all the titles and ended up giving my 3 brothers the 3 petty kingdoms outside of mine and the peaceful guy's, which also let me fully take control of mine as well. So now Ireland is perfectly balanced as far as the de jure titles matching the areas of control they're supposed to have. 4 of the 5 rulers (counting myself) are siblings, and the one that didn't rebel (thank God, I don't know if I would have made it in time for the allies to get there), I hosted a feast in his honor right after bc I genuinely don't know why he didn't join the rebellion, he hated me too and wasn't even family like the others.

Going forward, my kids should now only inherit the counties on my duchy which I'll probs be able to work out to take for the oldest a lot easier than trying to negotiate the mess I had before that was stemming from my original conquering like

Also update on this, Castille fell hard essentially right after making this post, dude lost everything. Spanish did not like the Irish invasion

You could kayfabe it as though he was playing the long con and knew even if you were overthrown there was nothing in it for him so he chose between the liege he hated or the rebellion he knew would fail/give him nothing. Sometimes you gotta ally with your hated rival to get what you really want.

Yeah I'll also look at his traits, he may have just been cowardly or something. I wanna say he did have a beef with one of my brothers so that may have been why, could have been the guy that started it. It's funny tho bc he literally controls Dublin and would have been a guy I would have loved to depose of, but I felt so grateful that the vassal with the largest army chose to be the only one that didn't rebel that I'm giving him everything lol
