Update on my Ireland game after playing a shit ton yesterday:
Now in the 4th generation, my new character started very unpopular so I thought I would just goad a vassel or two into the war they wanted to get it over with, but all but one also joined in the rebellion so I was pretty outmatched. My allies in France and Poland were also busy with their own issues so I wasn't sure if they would make it to help. I was able to shut down a couple of the armies individually before they could meet up, but once they joined together I was fucked so I basically just ran around Ireland as they chased me for awhile until I finally got caught in a battle when they cornered me before I could embark into the ocean. That battle was the longest stalemate I'd ever seen as somehow my army was able to hold their own without getting wrecked and right about that time the allies finally made it to Ireland and we just destroy them. That war goes easy then and after it I've essentially imprisoned all but one of my vassals including all three of my younger brothers.
Since I then had all the power over them, I was able to rework all the titles and ended up giving my 3 brothers the 3 petty kingdoms outside of mine and the peaceful guy's, which also let me fully take control of mine as well. So now Ireland is perfectly balanced as far as the de jure titles matching the areas of control they're supposed to have. 4 of the 5 rulers (counting myself) are siblings, and the one that didn't rebel (thank God, I don't know if I would have made it in time for the allies to get there), I hosted a feast in his honor right after bc I genuinely don't know why he didn't join the rebellion, he hated me too and wasn't even family like the others.
Going forward, my kids should now only inherit the counties on my duchy which I'll probs be able to work out to take for the oldest a lot easier than trying to negotiate the mess I had before that was stemming from my original conquering like
