On RAW we saw the debut of NXT Women's Champion, Paige as she interrupted a promo to offer AJ her congratulations on defending the title at WrestleMania. AJ took exception to her words and challenged her to an impromptu title match which Paige won in double quick fashion after hitting a very poorly executed Paige Turner.

Personally, while I'm glad that that Paige has made it to the main roster because she's damn good hand which people will know about if they watch NXT on a consistent basis, I was left disappointed by the way they introduced her really.

She's supposed to be the Anti-Diva due to the way she looks and acts at times, however I just thought they made her come off to nicey nicey and bubblegum diva type like a Kelly Kelly for example. They should have had her show more attitude by commenting that she may have beat everyone on the main roster last night but she hasn't beaten her and then they can get it the match.

Hopefully now though we can get a nice little feud going between the two and FINALLY after what seems like an eternity, we can get away from the horrible AJ vs Total Divas nonsense.

What are your thoughts on all things Paige and her debut last night?

I agree with you that the actual debut could have been done better but good god the pop she got when her she came out and when she won the belt :homer:

Fans actually chanted "THIS IS AWESOME" for a Diva's segment. I think the point was for Paige to be an AJ fan... which I think they rushed the segment and that didn't necessarily come across... but the build should be awesome. Also a bit disappointed by Tamina's presence out there at all. Regardless, I'm REALLY looking forward to Paige's main card run... and more Paige/AJ segments :mark::mark::mark::mark::mark::mark::mark::mark::mark::mark::mark:

She tapped out to AJ. Make a story out of that.

With the way AJ was speaking on Raw about her title, you could sense a debut was possibly brewing. I figured it would probably be another one of the Total Divas cast, coming out to challenge her. But obviously it wasn't. Having Paige debut on Raw Monday made sense in a lot of ways, because there's going to be a considerable amount of British people in the crowd, who were also at Wrestlemania the previous night and know who she is.

Paige has spent the best part of 2 years in developmental and people have been wanting her to be called up for many months now, and on Monday they obviously got their wish, as she became the Youngest Divas Champion in WWE history, as well as the fact she has the NXT Womens Title too, which she may end up dropping on the next set of NXT tapings.

But i'm pleased overall she's now on the main roster and look forward to seeing what WWE comes up with for her on a weekly basis, and what her next feud will be with.

Looked like she didn't even belong in the ring with AJ after she cut a great promo and Paige comes out with a nervous energy and terrible promo and a botched counter and finisher.

Not the best debut, but again Trish Stratus looked like a deer in headlights her first night and subsequent promo.

The actual debut as said should have been better esp considering they actually had the crowd attention with a hot crowd. I don't really watch NXT so don't know much about her outside of her anti diva moniker which if that is what she is going to be and supposed to have some kind of attitude to her I don't get why they didn't use that given that was the perfect time to do so. Despite how much I can pick her debut apart though it was still a nice moment for the diva division.

I said something similar about Paige's personality in the live thread. While they booked her debut and title change strongly, Paige wasn't presented in the take no shit, not here to fit in type of character one would expect.

Not much to say about the match on Raw since it was so quick. I was hoping for the Cradle DDT because I don't like the Paige Turner as a finisher but oh well. Can't wait to see her in lengthier matches.

AJ Lee will likely feud with her for the next month or so to get her going before hopefully finding something else to do. AJ is established enough and too over to let sink into the background.

Anyone wondering if the title change was just to book a title change infront of a hot audience, or a big middle finger to somebody? Hard to tell, gotta see how this feud plays out. If done right, AJ/Paige and draw interest in actual diva matches.....IF done right

Big IF!

I thought about this, but I mean AJ did retain in that ridiculous match at 'Mania when everyone thought she'd lose so I don't think they're looking to give her any punishment for Punk.

She's held the belt for so long, it's about time she dropped it. I'm glad to see that Paige is on the main roster now.

I think it's a mixture of them wanting to do a title change for the smarkier audience plus ontop of the fact that AJ has literally run through the whole division bar maybe Naomi who was supposedly due the title before her injury.

I think if they wanted to middle finger Punk, she woulda dropped it prior to Mania and been just another face in that match instead of being the focus.

I haven't seen that much of her, but isn't her character supposed to be the anti-heel with an attitude? She came across as real bubbly and nervous, which I didn't really get.

When I heard she debuted and won the title I was expecting a much better segment, but I wasn't that impressed when I saw it. I think the crowd kind of saved/made it

The fans have been begging WWE to bring her up for some time now. I haven't seen the segment, but I'm hearing all over the place that it was rushed. Still though, I won't say no to eye candy.
