I don't recall Masters being in a triple threat for the title on PPV. Mike Knox has been in an elimination Chamber match but thats since it got moved to NWO and the match has been way worse as their are two of them, Kennedy wasn't voted in on the Cyber Sunday thing so these hardly count. As CMS said, he was main eventing so to be doing that at the time i guess he could have been called maybe what Rey Mysterio is, a part time Main Eventer or something along those lines as their were a few occasions he was, the guys you listed all had a seperate match each and yeah.

Masters was in the EC @ NYR 2006 and he survived until the final three.

I consider the Money In The Bank match meant for mid to upper carders to win in order to catapult them into the main event scene. Hence why guys have always won it who have never won a world title before. Like Edge when he first won it, Kennedy when he was in line for a push, CM Punk won it for his first title reign, Rob Van Dams main event push was supposed to be coming for YEARS, and MITB allowed him to do that. However short it was.

I hardly consider anyone who has won the MITB a main eventer BEFORE cashing in the briefcase.

You guys should learn the difference between main eventer and main eventing. (I think this argument has been held before)

At which point did I ever say someone who participates in a main even is a main eventer? I just pointed out Lennie's fail.

When you try to differentiate the two your coming really close to splitting hairs. A Main Event-ER would be someone who regularly Main Event-S. Hence why the two words Main and Event are in both words.

It's like trying to give Edge credit for main eventing, while also trying to downplay its meaningfulness to his career by saying "He's not a main eventer, he's just main eventing". It's a cancellation of terms, adding negatives, whatever you wanna call it. It's essentially a minor form of double speak that allows you to say he was a main event player while also making the same argument that he wasn't a main event player. A flawless argument in itself, which protects you from making any critical mistakes no matter what point you're trying to argue.

Just because Edge wrestles professionally doesn't mean he's a professional wrestler.

I want Edge to turn face when he returns, to be honest, he's gotten stale as a heel and its definitely time for a change. He better not come back and "shock" the world by winning another WWE/World Title out of the blue.

Nah, he'll shock the world by running out of the crowd/under the ring/number 30 and winning the Royal Rumble after another guy won.

Indeed it has and the sane amongst us concluded that he'd only physically taken part in ONE main event match during (or indeed before) 2005 (i.e the triple threat with HHH & Benoit) and thus the (at that point in time) one-off nature of said appearance didn't qualify the statement that "Edge was a main event-er in 2005".

Precisely what I was thinking/said to my friend the other day. Fuck WrestleMania. When they say January, they mean January. If he's still got to be careful, they'll keep his road to WM kinda tame... but as far as Royal Rumble... I see entrant #30's music hitting, and nobody comes out. They make an announcement/we see on the Tron that #30 is knocked out, so the match continues, and out of nowhere at the "Ultimate Opportunity", Edge comes in dressed as Jim Ross (since the Cameraman thing has been done) and takes out the remaining participant(s).

Or if you really want to be slick about it, have him as the guest time-keeper wearing his boot, like he's still inactive, then have his music hit at #30 and sneak in for the win. If it's a heel he eliminates, it builds his face/tweener push... and if it's someone like HBK or Cena... it's an epic lock as a heel (well maybe not as much so with Cena :shifty:). It's just all the more fitting for Edge and would be stupid to rid the Ultimate Opportunist persona, as it's so badass it's likable, or hate-able.

Fuck a reunion of one of the most over and successful tag teams in the history of the WWE? Something that everyone in the audience has been cheering for during every Christian and Edge segment since Christian returned? Something that the fans actually want for once, we say fuck that?

You should definitely be working for the WWE then.
