I've seen people replace the Sgt Slaughter title run with an Earthquake one (more or less, the timeline isn't perfect) and maybe they don't have to move Mania that year if it's Hulk vs Earthquake redux instead of pretending to be at a war people didn't wanna think about

Yeah I'd have leaned Rude or Perfect myself, Rude probably the most likely candidate since he was feuding with Warrior SummerSlam time the year before

According to Meltzer yeah if my memory serves me right. I also wanna say the format of the match was the same because of rehearsals but that part could just me making it up.
