Talk about it in here.

First of all, for the record, I never understood why Holmes married Cruise in the first place considering the age gap but I guess "true love" knows no age limits. Of course that explains why they made it a whopping five years before the divorce proceedings began, but in all honesty, I'm siding with Holmes here if for no other reason than that she NEEDS to get that kid away from Cruise and his Scientology bozos before she's brainwashed like the rest of them.

One could argue Ms. Holmes (or is it Mrs. Cruise) knew what she was getting into when she married a man so renowned for his faith to Scientology. Their marriage was officiated by a Scientologist. Not to mention Suri has to make up her own mind when it comes time as to whether or not she wants to be a Scientologist. Some would also argue any form of organized religion is tantamount to brainwashing so it really makes no difference in the end. My only question is why now? Why not a few years ago when they renewed their prenuptials...

I feel bad for the kid stuck in the middle. That's all.

I agree with LB. Suri is going to pay the most for all of this when both of her parents are drug through the mud in the press. Even if she don't understand it now, it will always be there.

Because apparently Tom wanted to send Suri to some fucked up camp where Scientologists spew their idiotic drivel to the kids without their parents being around. Clearly Holmes had simply had enough of the stupidity and realized that her only chance to save her daughter from these fucking yahoo's was to divorce Cruise and seek sole custody.

For the record, whether its considered so or not, I personally don't believe Scientology is a religion. It was started by a goddamn science fiction writer and it seems to me to be something that's solely designed to milk money out of every idiotic celebrity who wants desperately to belong to something. It is a complete and utter joke (to the point that even Mormon's make fun of it) and serves no useful purpose whatsoever. Obviously this same statement can be applied to every religion that you don't personally subscribe to, but at the same time, I don't catch many other religions purporting that we are actually immortal aliens known as Thetans trapped on Earth in a physical body.

Read that last line again.

Yes, that's what Scientologist's believe, or possibly just think they believe. I've done a fair bit of research into the religion over the years and have read L Ron Hubbard's "Dianetics" a couple of times, so I'm not just whistling dixie here. The "religion" is nothing more than a not so complex pyramid scheme designed to defraud individuals under the protection of "religious rights and freedoms."

I ended up randomly talking to my friends about this stuff the other night which in itself was odd but Scientology is really fucked up though and I definitely agree that Katie Holmes should get her kid away from all of that right now. I basically agree with everything Fuji has stated to make things short because he's mentioned everything we talked about. Sending the kids to a camp when they get to a certain age is fucked up, I've seen things on Scientology camps saying they are basically slave camps. Freaky stuff.
