Official WWE Smackdown vs. Raw 2009 Thread

Since I am getting it for Christmas and all I'll just rent it 2morrow or something and hope its fun.

I don't look at Smackdown! games for the story modes or anything, I get 'em for the features and gameplay, and thus far, this game is looking the part for me. I'm never captivated by the career stories or anything of that nature, so I tend to brush those aside when I'm actually playing 'em and dispel any expectations. My expectations lie in the customization options and gameplay, so I look forward to getting this game and creating finishers and superstars all day and kicking ass with them.

havent spent enough time, but i can tell this has potential to be the best since smackdown since svr06 or even hctp.

the only minor gameplay problem is the camera view when you go outside the ring. and in RTW, you dont really get a choice to do anything, you just follow the storyline and win matches (at least so far).

I don't know if im going to get this game now. The gameplay for 08 sucked and 09 has pretty much the same gameplay. I might be getting Bioshock,Dead Space, or Fallout 3.

have you guys been playing a different game? im halfway through my first RTWM and i can tell that the gameplay's different.....in a good way. im not playing on legend difficulty yet, handicap matches on hard seem like a challenge, still. eventhough i haven't lost a match yet.

i also like how in tag team matches, when your opponent got red/orange limb damage and you just built up enough momentum for a finisher, your partner immediately goes to attack your illegal partner by himself.....

aaand i just created a joker CAW......doesn't look like the real joker but meh, he'll do.
btw, anyone got the unlockables' list? im not gonna start a full career mode yet but i will 2morrow, a link would be much appreciatted.

Has the AI been fixed to the point where when you raise the difficulty it actually uses greater strategy as opposed to just being a cheap ass who reverses every fucking move you do?

If the answer to this is no then this game is off my list.

improved a lot from what i can tell.....but not SMART. dunno, ill try it on legend 2morrow and tell you. the "reverse every move" bit still exists though. it wasnt a problem in here comes the pain because back then, you could reverse all the moves too. but it pisses me off now that you can hardly ever reverse a move. and i use triple h...

Abilities are nowhere to be found. Only thing is characters and attires/movesets.

Like I said, try playing Edge vs Taker TLC on Legend. The fucker actually started working on my back and when I was red, he locked me in a Boston Crab. I did win though.

BTW, is it just me, or is Big Show really hard to defeat?

then how the fuck am i supposed to know how to unlock them? im a little confused.

go to that post. if they DO mean it, WTFFFF?? whats the fuckin use of knowing how to unlock AFTER YOU UNLOCK? ITS ALREADY UNLOCKED MOTHERFUCKERS! sigh

@cms: i was thinkin the same about edge, im not sure if its set to make edge's AI higher than the others, but i noticed he's a lot smarter in the game. if each superstar has a unique AI, that's awesome.
