If all Hardy did was prove that then all GSP did was prove he has a good takedown, nothing more.

I re-watched the Mir vs. Carwin fight just now and that was terrible refereeing. They should have never broke while against the cage, Carwin was doing a great amount of damage, no need for the break. Then the ref should have stopped that fight twice before he actual did. Mir was out right when he fell to one knee, I don't know how he had enough in him to grab Carwin's arm and try something, but that was a vicious beatdown of Mir.

???

GSP never really bothered to try to strike on his feet but every time he did he tagged him with a few decent shots. The entire fight was just a reinforcement of the fact that GSP has zero competition.

Yeah fight should have been stopped long ago to stop Mir from getting unneeded injuries and such, people where I was watchin it were chanting what are you looking at when the ref just stood there watching Mir unconscious and getting pounded.

He even said after the fight he was disappointing in himself. He wanted to make Hardy Submit and he couldn't, he tried everything.

Sure he could've made Hardy submit. He just would've had to snap his arm in that kimura. I think that there are quite a few fighters who would not have had the restraint and class that GSP showed.

Again though it bears repeating, toughness while an admirable quality to have, is meaningless if you have no offense to speak of.

If he gets his takedown defense up he would of had a huge chance of whooping his ass. Also restraint I remember him yanking that fucker back as far as he could get it to go and Hardy still didn't tap.

Then he clearly didn't yank hard enough. If he would have snapped his arm he would've tapped.

I think Hardy would have passed out or the ref would have stopped it before Hardy would have tapped, no joke if he didn't tap from what he took he didn't plan on tapping.
