Official TNA Lockdown PPV discusion

I love the Lethal Lockdown match because back in the day I loved War Games in WCW. Fun concept.

This year I hope they stay inside the cage. Going to the top makes for a good spot but it's defeating the intended purpose.

Should Lockdown be moved to a different month? Slammiversary is another big ppv that's only seperated by 6 weeks or so.

As far as who else will be on the team I think it'll be...

Team Hogan: Abyss (c), Jarrett, Jeff Hardy, RVD, and either Homicide or EY.

Team Flair: Sting (c), Matt Morgan, Beer Money, Desmond Wolfe.

Sounds about right. Wouldn't mind Samoa Joe returning and joining Team Hogan though even though it wouldn't really make much sense at all lol.

Team Hogan: Abyss, Jarrett, Homicide, Lethal, Rob Terry (likely)/Suicide?/Foley

Team Flair: Sting, Wolfe, Morgan, Beer Money

The Band vs. RVD, Hardy and Young in a specialty match of some kind.

Xscape match.

The Guns vs ??? for the tag titles

Queen of the Cage

Tara vs. Daffney

Doug Williams vs. Kazarian for the X division title.

(Dreaming possibly: >_> I think Samoa Joe in either The Band/RVD, Hardy, Young or Lethal Lockdown, the lights are going to go off, followed by Samoa Joe coming out with his hair back, his old half black/half aqua tights, and beat down all 10/6 members of those matches.)

If tonight's Impact was supposed to convince me to buy lockdown guess what? It failed. Holy shit that sucked. I don't have time to go into detail right now but let's just say I spent alot of time screaming at the tv.

This may sound silly to some of you, but I gauge a ppv I might purchase by looking at the matches and sizing up how big the stars are in the match, if it's a first time two wrestlers are meeting, or stipulations. With only 3 matches official, they meet my silly criteria. I'm interested in Lockdown.

Besides AJ almost breaking Pope's ankle, and a promo here or there, has there been any interaction between these two at all?

Pope/Styles had alot more potential and hype right after Pope won the 8 Card Stud Tournament. Since the shot Dinero to the side, pushed Abyss, and then brought Dinero back into it, the hype isn't as good. They've lost alot of steam. I thought Dinero had a better chance of winning the title 2 months ago than I do now.

AJ/Pope could have potentially been the feud of the 1st half of the TNA year but delaying Pope's title match kind of messed that up. Right after the 8 Card stud tournament would have been the perfect time to capitalize on Pope's growing popularity imo. Like J Bonez said, then would have been the perfect time to give the title to him. Even though Pope's chances have shrunk I still do think that Pope will win at Lockdown and carry it for a few months, I see AJ winning it back sometime in the summer.

^^Yeah, TNA kinda dropped the ball with that. I don't understand why Abyss was thrown in the mix for DX ppv. Lockdown could have been the continuation of this feud instead of the beginning. Cage matches were intended to end feuds not start them.

They didn't necessarily delay. It was always announced that the match would be at Lockdown. I highly doubt Pope will win the title. I see TNA screwing this up with a Wolfe, Flair, BMI, run in.

AJ Styles (c) vs The Pope D'Angelo Dinero

Let's be honest, they royally fucked this match up all up. Had they not pushed Dinero to the side last month for Abyss' push and done a 2 month build up, this match would have been greater. But AJ gets the win here. If Dinero gets a rematch, I'm all for him picking up the title then. I wouldn't mind it now either, but that doesn't seem likely anymore.


Lethal Lockdown
Team Flair vs Team Hogan

Flair's team is looking way too good right now. They have the upper hand. Abyss got ran over, Jeff got burned, RVD got the beer bottle as well as got beat up, the only one who hasn't been taken down is Jarrett. So Hogan's team picks up the win here. I really hope that Flair's team doesn't break up after this. They'd make a great stable minus Sting.


Kurt Angle vs Mr. Anderson

Anderson needs the victory here. Plus with rumours of Kurt being banged up, it'd be a good time to take a break and have Anderson be the one to take him out.


Kazarian vs Shanon Moore vs Douglas Williams (c).

I don't know if this is for the title. Whether it is or not, Williams should get the victory. I'm liking his character right now with him shitting on the division. Taking the title off him now would be too soon and a waste.


All Knockout titles on the line
The Beautiful People vs Tara and Angelina Love

Tara and Angelina are not done feuding. They win all the belts here, but end up losing the tag belts later on because Tara turns on Love.



Eric Young vs Kevin Nash

Who the fuck cares. And I actually like EY. He wins, and moves on to something better.



Team 3D vs Hall and Pac

Another one I don't care about. The Band wins this one to keep the feud going.
