January 28th: Davey Richards & Rocky Romero of No Remorse Corps are the new ROH World Tag Team Champions. They captured the belts in Ultimate Endurance last Saturday in Chicago. Richards & Romero will make their first defense on 2/23 in Manhattan. We will have news on their opponents soon right here in the ROHwrestling.com Newswire. The tag team scene is now in total chaos following this surprising title change. The Age Of The Fall have tasted the power of having the belts and want it back more than ever. The Briscoes are now focused on getting revenge on AOTF and regaining the ROH World Tag Team Titles. In other interesting news, there are talks between Austin Aries and Bryan Danielson of teaming more after the chemistry they had last Saturday in Chicago. Aries & Danielson's only goal would be the belts. You also have to consider The Hangmen Three and The Vulture Squad as serious players in the ROH World Tag Team Title hunt. January 28th: We are very pleased to announce that Kota Ibushi from the DDT promotion in Japan will come to ROH for a very special one week stay. Ibushi will wrestle on 4/11 in Boston, 4/12 in Edison, 4/18 in Detroit and 4/19 in Chicago. ROH officials were blown away when they saw Ibushi live at NOAH's 7/15 Budokan Hall event. Efforts were made since that time to bring Ibushi to ROH and now he will make a very special one week only appearance in April. Ibushi will face main event quality opponents on all four nights. His opponents will be announced in the upcoming weeks. Tickets for all four shows are on sale now.

January 28th: Kevin Steen immediately called the ROH offices after hearing that NRC won the ROH World Tag Team Titles. Steen demanded a shot for himself and El Generico. Romero & Richards have stated that they must first earn a shot. Steen & Generico will get that opportunity on 2/22 in Long Island. It will be Roderick Strong & Davey Richards vs. Kevin Steen & El Generico in Long Island!!!
January 28th: Jack Evans suffered a serious facial injury in Japan and had surgery on Friday for a broken nasal cavity, broken eye socket and broken cheekbone. It's been a rough time for The Vulture Squad. Ruckus has been in the hospital since last Tuesday with pneumonia. We will post an update on both when we get one. We wish both Jack and Ruckus a speedy recovery.

January 30th: The FIP World Heavyweight Title Match for the 6th Anniversary Show on 2/23 in Manhattan has been signed. There will be a huge FIP Title rematch on 2/16 at the FIP event in Crystal River, FL (www.FullImpactPro.com for info) pitting champion Erick Stevens vs. the man he defeated for the title Roderick Strong. Since there is no telling whether Stevens or Strong will walk into Manhattan as champion an interesting match has been signed for 2/23. Last time in New York, Stevens vs. Strong tore the house down. It was almost a year ago when Kevin Steen and El Generico were given a one night tryout at "Fifth Year Festival: Philly" against Jay & Mark Briscoe. They ended up stealing the show that night and they have yet to slow down. Now stealing the show isn't enough for Kevin Steen.
You can describe Steen as brash, crude and outspoken. In the ring he is strong, agile and brutal. Now he has made his boldest statement yet. Steen called the staff here at ROHwrestling.com and demanded that we put the following comment online:
"I guarantee there will be some gold around Kevin Steen's fantastic waist in 2008" Steen said. "I don't care if it's the tag titles with Generico, the ROH World Title or the FIP title but I'm getting a new belt to keep my pants up and it's going to be a big heavy shiny one! Hell, I want an ROH recognized title this year so bad, I'd even get a sex change and go after the damn Shimmer belt if I could go through the operation without having to take time off away from the ring! This is how much it means to me! In 2008, Kevin Steen is going to win his first ROH recognized title and that's just the way it is!"
Steen has made his goal clear. Now he must get into title contention. Then we will see if he can win the big one. It all starts for Steen & El Generico on February 22nd in Long Island when they battle former FIP World Heavyweight Champion Roderick Strong & one half of the ROH World Tag Team Champions Davey Richards. This is the match that could put Steen in position to back up his words. The pressure is on.

First, the PPV taping on 3/15 in Philly has been moved to 3/16 with a special 5pm belltime still at the Pennsylvania National Guard Armory. All 3/15 tickets will be honored on 3/16.
