With the last Payback poster being a hoax, another one has been released featuring Randy Orton. Must say...liked the fake one a lot more. This one is super boring, and too simple. Wonder if Orton being featured has anything to do with him getting a heel turn, or a main event push though.

Could be another hoax but I doubt it. This looks like something WWE would make. Heres the synopsis:

WWE reinvigorates its pay-per-view line up with a fresh new concept that will serve as the perfect stage for all the top Superstars to settle their long simmering grudges and set the stage for the sizzling road to SummerSlam. All major championships will be on the line including the revamped WWE Championship, plus the World Heavyweight Championship and much more. From the clashes for the ultimate prize, to fierce heavy-hitters with scores to settle, WWE fans will want to relive the historic debut of this riveting new event.”

Thoughts?

Feels like I've seen the broken glass/mirror poster before...

Breaking Point IMHO.

WWE doesn't put much effort into their posters, so seems legit, it's the cool ones that are fake. and should never take too much stock in who is on the poster, most of the time it was just a guy available for a photoshoot.

Synopsis sound like it's Night of Champions but with a bunch of rematches.

The last couple of years WWE have been designing posters based on concept rather than glitzy or grungy effects, like an advertisement rather than a "poster", I think it's usually more fun actually (everyone hated the Del Rio MITB one but I thought it was just clever). That said, this one is really unimaginative but I guess it doesn't matter.

The PPV concept, however, seems odd for it's timing. "Payback" is where all the big feuds and disputes are settled before Summerslam? And all titles on the line, like the Night of Champions PPV two months later? I hope they aren't trying to sell the show on gimmick again, rather than put the effort into an enjoyable card.

24 rounds??? So instead of looking for his wife, he is just sitting at home drinking a two-four in real time because she didn't get kidnapped, she just walked out the door?

I'd actually watch that.....Oscar buzz.
