Now it turns out Heatley rejected the trade. He has a no trade clause, and can turn down any deal. Turns out he said no to being traded.

Finally! After years of being one of the toughest teams in the NHL, and with that, having alot of success, the Leafs are back at it. The past 3 years, they've been a bunch of pussies, but that all changes today.
First up, they signed an All Star defenseman, a guy who just destroys people, in Mike Komisarek. What makes it better is that he used to play for the Montreal Canadian. Lol at them.

As if that weren't enough, they teraded Pavel Kubina to Atlanta forG arnet Exelby. Exelby is a monster hitter, and just destroys guys on defense.

And they also, as mentioned, signed probably the top heavyweight fighting in the league in Colton Orr...

Chess, you won't like this....

Brian Gionta has left New Jersey and signed with the Montreal Canadiens for 25 million, over 5 years. He's reunited with another ex Jersey Devil in Scott Gomez...

Dude, along with Kane and Toews, Hossa is going to make the Hawks a bigger force than they were last season. It's not just because I am from Chicago, but I am thinking realistically. The guy is a phenomenal goal scorer. I hated his guts last season for what he did to the Pens, had my lolz when he lost in the final, but I am putting that to rest, because he can bring the Hawks to the final. I am not saying Hossa is god or anything, all I am saying is that this is HUGE for the Hawks and Chicago.

Detroit will not be a threat this year.

chicago still have to sign barker, versteeg and others this off season and it looks like they won't have enough room to sign both. and it's gonna be hard as hell to sign toews, kane, and keith the next offseason. this should be their year to win it but that huet contract is terrible and i doubt they're going far with him in net.

btw dany heatley is a huge tool, i don't want someone with his attitude on team canada.

I love Dany Heatley but you're right, he is such a fucking tool. He talks to much shit and can't back it up half the time.

I'm already calling my two favorite teams of alltime since birth in the 2010 Stanley Cup:

Chicago Blackhawks v.s. Pittsburgh Penguins.... Hawks in 6

I'm keeping my word on that

Two huge signings

-Ottawa signs for Montreal Canadien forward Alex Kovalev to a 2 year deal
-Toronto signs former Anaheim Duck defensemen Francois Beauchemin to a 3 year deal workd 10 million.

I love Beauchemin coming to Toronto. It's awesome. What makes it better is that Montreal was trying to sign him.
