Yeah but people predicted that they wouldn't get in the top four last season and they did, we will wait and see what happens.

Most geniuses have predicted us to finish outside Europe since 2005.

Oh and a word on that stupid twat Ian Wright - how did that dumbass ever get his own column when he suggests things like "Jermaine Defoe can be the new RVP". GTFO, blueberry.

New RVP is extremely over the top, but he would definitely score handfuls at Arsenal.

Champions League draw:

Group A

Porto
Dynamo Kiev
Paris St Germain
Dinamo Zagreb

Group B

Arsenal
Schalke
Olympiakos
Montpellier

Group C

AC Milan
Zenit St Petersburg
Anderlecht
Malaga

Group D

Real Madrid
Manchester City
Ajax
Borussia Dortmund

Group E

Chelsea
Shakhtar Donetsk
Juventus
Nordsjaelland

Group F

Bayern Munich
Valencia
Lille
BATE

Group G

Barcelona
Benfica
Spartak Moscow
Celtic

Group H

Manchester United
Braga
Galatasaray
CFR Cluj

City have the hardest draw of them all, having to play Real, Dortmund and Ajax. Real are an awesome side, Dortmund are underrated the same as Ajax. So hopefully they'll get knocked out of the Champions League completely. Our group is easy and I don't expect us to have any problems like we did last season.

Ouch! Portuguese teams have a hard time of it. Benfica and Braga will be lucky to finish second - the winners of those groups are predetermined already. Porto may fare better, but that's only because they'll probably cheat, like always - plus their group's easier.

^ LOL. Good signing for the Hammers mind could be the difference between them staying up or going down.

I really rate Defoe as a goal scorer I think he is right up there with RVP, don't forget RVP has had a injury hit career and only really produced consistantly last season. Agree that Ian Wright is a twat through.

Also Fulham have signed Berbatov for £5m which is a good price for them but a bad bit of biz for Utd who bought him for £30m.

LOL United needed to off that load, whatever the price. Players do tend to devalue when they're not used or rubbish, and Berbatov was both. Good fucking riddance.

Only problem with Berbatov is he's plain damn lazy. Probably still got the best touch of any striker in the league. A team like Fulham can work to suit him, like they did before with Zamora. I'd talk about my teams dip into the transfer market, but no1 talks championship here :(

If tjscarbi was here, he supports Watford. But he's barely around anymore.

Apparently Fulham haven't actually signed Berbatov yet. Something's holding it up, but according to Fergie the deal isn't completed. Rumours are Tottenham have an interest, so that could be it.

Only notable Premier League deals done so far today are:
- Jay Spearing, on loan from Liverpool to Bolton for the season.
- Nigel De Jong, permanent move from Man City to AC Milan.
- Kieran Richardson, permanent move from Sunderland to Fulham.

As of this morning, Arsenal have been linked with a loan move for Michael Essien. I'd be happy with that for sure, but hopefully not with a view to a permanent deal. He'll be 30 by then.

So what? 30 year old Essien will still be an amazing player. Look at Lampard. Look at Giggs. Age means nothing when you're in that class of player.

You're assuming an injury prone player like Essien will play at the top level for the next 6-8 years? Gotta be kidding. Plus it's Arsenal, we only have 4 players that are 30+ years of age - Sebastien Squillaci (32), Tomas Rosicky (31), Andrei Arshavin (31) and Mikel Arteta (30). Below them there's Bacary Sagna at 29, Andre Santos at 29, and Marouane Chamakh at 28. Look at it like this:

- Squillaci was a completely pointless buy at 30 and is our last choice Centre Back.
- Rosicky is behind Cazorla for the Attacking Midfield spot and is injury prone.
- Arshavin may or may not be sold today but if not he's our 4th choice Winger.
- Santos was another pointless buy and is unreliable defensively.
- Chamakh could be sold or loaned today but if not he's our third choice striker.
- Arteta is our Vice-Captain and easily a first teamer, and the same goes for Sagna.

We don't sign players of that age. It's not what Wenger does.

Anyway, some more deals have been confirmed:
- Charlie Adam, permanent move from Liverpool to Stoke.
- Scott Sinclair, permanent move from Swansea to Man City.
- Danny Rose, on loan from Tottenham to Sunderland for the season.
EDIT - Park Chu-Young, on loan from Arsenal to Celta Vigo for the season.

City bought Javi Garcia from Benfica. It's a good buy, but I'm not sure he'll stand out in Manchester the way he did in Lisbon, for obvious reasons.
