What's that then, RIGHT in his prediction?

He's also an ex-blues player and has a history of saying things for shock value, you two would have a lot in common lol. We're not down yet btw.

What a result this is going to be for Wigan at Goodison in the Cup. Feel bad for Moyles as his great work at Everton deserves a trophy, his players have let him down today.

Villa will go down, there is no argument otherwise.

Championship players deserve Championship football. Weimann and Bent are their only two Prem quality plqyers, and even then they will sign for someone shit like Swansea or Fulham.

Thanks troll. I am not predicting either way, like I said ages ago it is fifty-fifty, but certainly yesterday was a key win, we do have a pretty tough run in, but I can still see someone like Southampton going down, think Reading are almost certain to go down now. Next up QPR another biggie.

Very happy that QPR picked up another win, two in a row now and yet we are still bottom. Good to see the January signings starting to pay off and finally things are starting to click up front. I said before that we needed to start scoring a hell of a lot more if we are to move up the ladder and so a 3-1 win is great.

The Reading sacking of Mcdomitt today is just dumb. There are only nine games left, the transfer window is shut, and they were still in with a shot under him. Besides he would be more than capable of bringing them back up.

I don't disagree, if you asked any football fan where Reading would finish this season it'd be close to where they are now.

Not sure what the owner's expectations are tbh.

What happened this weekend is what frustrates me with QPR. A game that we should have won and we managed to lose it 3-2. I would have taken a draw in that game to get the extra point and to keep Aston Villa in touching distance. Would have been nice to get off the bottom of the ladder as well.

Cracking match Saturday, could have gone either way but a massive win for us. Would say Villa need just two more wins to keep us up, while we have a few of the big clubs to come, should be able to the get the points from the likes of Sunderland, Stoke, Fulham. My only concern is that I am convinced that Wigan will go on a run and get out of it, which means someone else needs to get dragged into it, maybe Sunderland?

It's essentially proven that if you reach the 40 point mark, you're going to be safe from relegation. I think once, maybe twice, since the Premier League was established that that has been proven otherwise. Teams place a heavy emphasis on the 40 point mark, and based off that there are 9 teams completely guaranteed survival - The Manchesters, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Everton, Liverpool, West Brom & Swansea. That leaves 11 teams.

To me, something horrible would have to occur in the final 10 games for Fulham, Stoke, Norwich, Newcastle & West Ham to be relegated, so I'd say it's a matter of time before they all hit the 40 point mark and can breathe easy. This now leaves 6 teams.

I think the relegation battle is down to Sunderland, Southampton, Aston Villa, Wigan, Reading & QPR. Frankly Sunderland shouldn't be anywhere near it as they have some quality players and a top manager and haven't been in complete disarray like QPR have been pretty much all season. They should survive, so should Southampton, but I think the other team that'll join them will be either Aston Villa or QPR (yes I said that). I can't see Reading beating the drop now that they ridiculously sacked Brian McDermott, and surely Wigan's exploits in the FA Cup will harm yet another escape. Villa have shown great signs recently, winning two consecutive matches and playing well against us and Man City. QPR have a talented squad and a top manager who has pulled of a great escape before, so I give them a very slim chance.

So yeah, for me it'll be Wigan, Reading and Aston Villa/QPR.

Agree that Sunderland shouldn't go down, its just that they have three really tough matches coming up and if they were to come out of those with say just a point then they could really be deep down there.

I think it will be less than 40 points to stay up this year, it is just far more closer, with teams at the bottom picking up fewer points, 36 or 37 should be enough. QPR and Reading will go down, it is just then one from 4 I think.

Keith any reason why Brett Holman hasn't been starting for Villa since Christmas? He was a regular early on and seemed to be doing okay but for the last couple of months he has been rarely used. He is back in Australia at the moment for World Cup Qualifiers and it keeps getting brought up for every interview.

Don't think there is a special reason really, not that I know of anywhere, just the manager likes other players more.
