So, let me see if I got this straight:
Apparently, Cena's going on a little break of between 2 and 4 months (probably returning after SummerSlam or so). And he can't be booked to put a guy over going out?
It would have made such a better story if, as I suggested during the match, Brock "injured" him and then ran roughshod over the WWE for the next 4 months (until SummerSlam or so), winning the WWE title from Punk after a decent feud, and giving a returning Cena two reasons to challenge him when he returns (1 - to take out the guy who injured him; 2 - for the WWE Championship).
Instead, Cena's "injured" but still won, which means that Lesnar can't beat a guy he hurt. Which makes Lesnar look weak. Now, except to make Laurinaitis look like an idiot, why should Lesnar be put into a feud with the WWE Champion? If Lesnar can't beat Cena, now he has to fight his way into the title picture, where a victory over Cena would have been a "golden ticket" into the title scene.
Of course, that's logical storytelling. Why would WWE want to do that rather than send the kiddies home happy....and make the rest of the roster look weak?
