Octomom Death Threat? Police Investigating Nadya Suleman Incident
Octomom is facing a threat far more alarming than incessant public scrutiny and scorn.
Nadya Suleman's car window was smashed up over the weekend, E! News has confirmed, and local police are now investigating a possible death threat against her.
Suleman's manager tells E! News that on Saturday at around 3 a.m., her car window was smashed and a note was left behind that read, "Leave California or you will die."
The La Habra Police Department confirms that they received a vandalism report, which was filed by Suleman's father, and have launched an investigation. Nothing was stolen from the vehicle. A department spokesman says there was no initial mention of any death threat, but with news of the alleged note making headlines, officers will be following up with Suleman,
Per police, there was also no indication that Suleman knew the perpetrator.
"She is just anxious to move her family as quickly as possible," Suleman's manager tells E! News.
The mom of 14 recently stirred up controversy by posing semi-naked for a magazine to show off her postbaby bod, three years after giving birth to octuplets.
She was reportedly paid $8,000 for the spread, and now receives $2,000 a month in food stamps.
Suleman recently appeared on the Today show to defend her decision to go on welfare, which she said has made her "feel ashamed" and resulted in harassing phone calls and emails from irate taxpayers.
