Dave Marquez announced tonight at his latest Championship Wrestling from Hollywood TV Taping in Glendale, CA that the promotion had left the National Wrestling Alliance.
The company had been the NWA member with the largest clearance and awareness in terms of TV exposure as they air in Los Angeles, CA.

Marquez has been a true blue NWA supporter for many, many years so obviously this is fallout from Bruce Tharpe and his contingent gaining ownership and control over the NWA initial and name.

Going forward, the promotion will be known simply as Championship Wrestling from Hollywood.

Damn, NWA gave it a nice name boost and added to the classic feel. Hopefully the promotion doesn't change much. I haven't watched in awhile honestly but I know there's a lot of fans out there.

This is certainly some big news. NWA seems to always shoot themselves in the foot though. What other large platform so they have?

The name needs some work though. What would it's initials be CWFH?

Not sure, Hollywood was definitely their biggest current day.

Yeah, I was going to put the whole name in the title of the thread, just too long.
