That being said, I know what you're saying Smark. I don't think either of us are "wrong" in this case as it's really a matter of opinion on what it best. You have to also understand that role is worth less than a read to a some players, and I personally will trust my gut on a read over a role. I understand this isn't everyone's pov however

Proving his role in a way t hat befits to town helps town. I'm not sure how much more I need to clarify this.

If he uses on someone you think is town, you can just vote to kill the duelist. There's zero downside to give a duelist a shot at use their role.
