Wrestling skills are nowhere near as important to be successful in the WWE as charisma and marketability. Not saying MVP doesn't have them (in fact, he's got more going for him in the charisma department than he does in the wrestling department), just pointing it out.
You should trust me in this thread too, btw. I'm a representative of the black community.
I could count 10 more deserving midcarders of a title push than Kofi Kingston for example. Why should they push Kofi, just because he's black? Wouldn't that be giving someone something just because he's black, akin to racism?
And Obama is half black and half white. We don't refer to him as the white president, it is the dominate color one's skin gives off. The Rock looks like a black guy more then a Samoan.
Honestly I think that Kofi could potentially be given a short run with the world title at some point. Not saying he is my first choice for a mid-carder to push, R-Truth is in the same category of people who I don't really like (but I honestly to like R-Truth) but their overness can't be denied.
The closest African American to ever win the WWE title was Lashley in 2007. His match with Cena was insane. If he wouldn't have gotten injured and faded away, no doubt he would have won the belt.
If there not worthy of it, then they don't deserve it. No matter what race, colour or creed.
Plain and simple. Sure there's guys that just win it but that's based on their size, not skill (Sheamus, Khali, Lesnar). The few black wrestlers the WWE have are great in the ring but each have their little problems that won't take them to the next level.
MVP is and was the closest. When he turned face and HHH was over at SD! that was his best shot. HHH is more believable to lose than Cena is.
