From what I've heard, he's been having time off for AEW because they know he's going to be having NJPW bookings for a bit. So that's reassuring to know he'll be at least decently active in Japan. But I guess if you are unsure about how much in the tank Naito's knees have, and the next generation needs fine tuning before getting the spot, Moxley may be a decent bridge.

being a naito fan is rough so I get their sadness. I can say that Mox loves njpw and has been wrestling for them for over 5 years and will respect that title.

I have no doubt on Moxley's side but my faith in New Japan has been broken for quite awhile now.
