A special video presentation at during New Year’s Dash revealed NJPW’s next major event in the US, and by major, it’s the biggest card since the birth of NJPW of America in late 2019 and NJPW STRONG in 2020!

Windy City Riot sees us back in Chicago FRIDAY April 12! In 2022, our Chicago area debut was headlined with a memorable war between Jon Moxley and Will Ospreay. This time, we’re at the Wintrust Arena for the first time FRIDAY April 12, and the stars will be out in full force!

It's still on the hash tag, I think they consider all the American shows to be "NJPW Strong" but there's no difference. I don't even think people in the company know what counts after the Strong shows in Japan last year

Rocky still wants the show to come back but it appears that's too much of a miracle for him. Getting CMLL talent on AEW shows was shockingly easier

Gotcha. Was wondering because the strong logo was used about show names in the American show logos before and now it just says NJPW.

Shame they can’t revive the tv show, but if you can’t mind as well just simply the branding.

Interesting about AEW, because you’d think the taping schedule would be easier than touring.

No DQs, mystery partners in tornado eight man tag

Joining Jon Moxley vs Tetsuya Naito, and Mustafa Ali versus Hiromu Takahashi in the Wintrust Arena April 12 at Windy City Riot, a new matchup has been added to the mix, as Gabe Kidd and Eddie Kingston will captain sides in a Riot Rules Tag Team Match.

At Battle in the Valley January 13, Kidd challenged Kingston for the AEW Continental Crown, but a highly physical match ended in a double countout, before members of the War Dogs attacked the champion after the bell. Now, in this matchup, there are no DQs or countouts, and victory is by pinfall, submission or KO only. The eight man tag will be contested under a tornado format with no tags in or out, and the teams on both sides will be a mystery, only revealed when partners make their entrance.

Kingston warned Kidd that he made dangerous enemies, and that he has dangerous friends. Will those allegiances see Kidd in trouble?
