I'm hoping that Nick/Cesar will donate the amount of money he was going to make for the fight to charity so they at least don't shit on them completely. That's the only thing that bothers me about the situation is he was doing it for charity.

I've never followed UFC as much as WWE. I know a few of the big names, though.

So you can only imagine how disappointed I was when Brock retired. Nate Diaz changed that, he has definitely made me a fan again. The angry look, smug attitude, and taunting... It's like a skinnier Lesnar. None of this wouldn't have been possible without your sig Dolph. When I saw him flip Cerrone's hat off, I became interested into what kind of fighter he was, and I like. Especially how he basically slaps his opponents and some how it tires them out to the point of exhaustion by round 3.

Very funny and entertaining matches. I will always be rooting for him.

Diaz is paying the money he promised to charity out of pocket. As I expected.

Nick wins again

Just popping in as a Diaz brothers ultra-fan boy. Nate's fight against Miller hella' impressed me. Like seriously I was expecting a decision win as Miller is no push over.

I'd love a rematch with McDonald, who also looks impressive, but Nate has improved so much since his loss.

Fuck that. Rory is a welterweight. Nate is staying at 155 and getting the winner of Edgar/Bendo in a title shot.

I think Nate will simply storm this division though. He'll get the title and then what? McDonald is a massive talent and is really gathering a name for himself, what's better for Nate to storm all over him in a rematch and then do what I think he can - dominate that div? I seriously think Nate is that good judging on how fast he's improving.

Nate just isn't big or strong enough for 170. He did okay at 170.. I mean he destroyed Marcus Davis (literally fucking destroyed him.. I've never seen someone so fucked up
21cfef8bd5fc78064c565a0ec6606246.jpg
) and only lost to two very good welterweights in Dong-Hyun and Rory (the Rory fight was a lot closer than most people remember.. the first two rounds were competitive before Rory started slamming him in the third) but he would never be an elite WW IMO. Besides, if he did wind up becoming an elite fighter it would be awkward with he and Nick both being at the top of the heap in the same weight class.

He can easily make 155, and can be a champion at 155.. Nate is my favorite fighter, but even I'm not sold on him storming this division like you are. If he beats Bendo (who I assume will defeat Edgar in their rematch) then there are plenty of match ups for him at 155.. Edgar, Bendo, Maynard, Pettis, Cerrone, Guida, potentially Aldo if he moves up.. there are a lot of contenders at 155 so if he gets the strap he has a ton of title defenses to make before he cleans out the division.

The thing that will suck will be if Nate is champ when UFC finally brings Melendez over from Strikeforce because I know those two will never fight.

He's already fought and dominated Cerrone. The rest will just be walkovers you must admit that, he's too good for this division and he's only getting better. I guess it'd be cool seeing Nate storm and getting the recognition he deserves but I do think he's good enough to be a legit contender in his brothers division and can dominate it like Nick has done.

I didn't know there were any other users here who even knew who Melendez was. Why hasn't the UFC snatched him up already I mean like wtf? but I don't think it'd be awkward, I think it'd be cool seeing the Diaz brothers dominate a division together.

El Nino has been a favorite of mine since I first started watching MMA and he was dominating over in japan

As far as why UFC hasn't brought him over, I really don't know. He is the last elite fighter left in Strikeforce, UFC already brought over the rest of them since the Zuffa purchase. It's definitely hella frustrating for Gil.. he is always calling out UFC fighters after he beats up guys in SF lol.

As far as Nate walking through guys.. idk man. Bendo is definitely no walk over. Edgar I think he would handle fairly easily. Cerrone he did tool but Cerrone was off that night, you have to admit he's never looked worse. Yea, Nate played a part in making him look bad, but if Cerrone can put together another winning streak he could be a #1 contender in the future (he fights on the UFC on Fuel card tomorrow night btw). Guida & Maynard matches would be good for Nate because he could redeem those split decision losses he has on his record from them, plus in Gray's case it would be a rubber match since Nate beat him on TUF back in the day. Pettis would be an exciting fight as well.

You just have to take things one step at a time. Step 1.) win the title. step 2.) defend it a few times. If he does that then I would be open to reassessing the situation
