Yeah "Conference 2" otherwise known as the new "Central Division" is going to be fucking nuts. It's basically the current northeast division + Tampa Bay, Florida, and FUCKING DETROIT. I'm really confused about Detroit joining the conference. I don't know why the didn't just stay in "Conference 3", that way at least the east and west had the same # of teams and you don't completely split apart the current Central Division.

But at least my HABS will get to play Detroit more often now and Detroit definitely isn't going to dominate their division anymore. Those days are long fucking gone now.

Just to give you an idea of how much this changes the landscape of the NHL. At least geographically, it looks much prettier.

And I bet Florida was the biggest fucking head-scratcher when they were proposing this new alignment. Seems like they just had no fucking idea what to do with it, so they're like, "Fuck it, we'll put it in the northeast division and just rename the division since it's not really northeast of anything besides Cuba."
