Good for Atlanta. Smartest thing they've done in a while.

Four winning seasons in a row? I think they've plenty of smart things but they have made some mistakes which is why they haven't won a playoff game (Ray Edwards damn you)! Still don't agree with your assessment there at all.

I actually like the Falcons, i was pulling for them in the playoff game against the Giants as well. Didn't go over well, as everybody in my family is either a Giants or Cowboys fan except for myself who's a Loyal Raider's fan.

Anyways, I think the Jets ultimately end up doing the Hard knocks show again, they only care about free publicity anyways. Wouldn't mind seeing Philly do it either, the "Dream Team" didn't have much to talk about last year after being the favorites for the Superbowl at the beginning of the season so it'd be interesting to see what goes on with the team.

Falcons in talks for Asante Samuel. Brent Grimes signs his contract tender. Coincidence? I think not.

Asante Samuel to Atlanta? I dunno about all that. Would make the secondary a lot better though.

So you guys hear about the Saints possibly in their own little spygate situation? They just can't catch a break went from one of the most respectable franchises in the NFL to looking like one of the dirtest. They're saying this happened in like 02-04 tho.

If that's true that'd be really sad, especially seeing as the Saints have done so much for their city with hurricane Katrina a few years back.

That plus the bounty scandal thing? crazy.

Kinda have to feel bad for Saints fans. They're not going to have a chance to win for years after losing all these picks and dealing with all the fall out.

Big news coming out today is Asante Samuel coming to my Falcons. I'm not going insane for this pick up but I have to be happy. Only a 6th round pick will be dumped but my issue is how will they pair Asante with Brent Grimes and Dunta Robinson. I would have no problem with Dunta getting released or traded but that won't happen. This will be an interesting trio but hopefully it doesn't flop like Philly did when they tried to have three high quality corners although I'll admit Dunta is pretty overrated.

Ummm... maybe you just didn't understand what I was saying.

They have obviously had some success, just not much in the post-season. They don't need any extra attention/distractions on their training camp like a silly HBO show. Take a look at the New York Giants, they are most successful when no one is talking about them and they are flying under the radar. If I was an NFL owner, I wouldn't let my team be on that show either.

Eagles traded cornerback Asante Samuel to the Falcons today in exchange for a seventh-round pick in this week's NFL draft, Samuel and the Falcons have agreed to terms on a three-year, $18.5 million deal.
