Figured as such, guess it's better to have the better draft pick than to get slaughtered in the 1st round.
Read somewhere that the odds are that Dennis Allen gets kept this year.
I don't even know what to make of any of our situation. I still have (fading) hope that McKenzie is the answer at GM, but this is the offseason he has to prove his worth. The rebuilding process needs to be kicked into the next phase with all of our cap room and ample draft picks this season. He has had a few his, a few more misses and nothing overly notable through nearly 2 full seasons as GM thus far, and his coaching choice is looking shaky at best.
Whether we keep Allen or not I don't really care. I would be understanding of either scenario. He has done a few things I like, and done some things I don't really dig, mainly his handling of the Pryor situation. I do agree with Pryor's agent to some degree that he never gave Pryor a fair shake, especially with the McGloin situation, but they never truly wanted Pryor to succeed and become a long term answer at QB. I like TP, but just because they don't agree with me there doesn't mean a McKenzie/Allen regime can't succeed. It could still happen I guess.
That said if he wanted to get rid of his ass I wouldn't complain one bit. I just hope we bring in someone with some more experience if we do because I'm tired of project head coaches. Lets get someone who has shown he can succeed.
