re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

So any haters for the Falcons this week? Big time statement win! Look forward to Dallas next week, hell of a comeback by Dallas just a shame they couldn't pull it out. 2nd and 1 still can't get first down? Pretty embarrassing.

I was cool with passing on 2nd and 1. That's an ambush situation. On 3rd and 4th down though, you gotta at least sell the run and play action if you're going to pass. Of course with a spare like Felix Jones, it's hard to sell the run, but you gotta do it. Terrible play calls there, but this is Jason Garrett and Bill Callahan we're talking about here.

The fingertip out of bounds is just the kind of unluck Dallas has. You have to think at some point, it starts turning around in our favor, but guys like Romo, Garrett, and Dez make it difficult for the gods of fortune to smile on you. I'm not saying it's Dez's fault for having his FINGERTIPS out of bounds, but he fucked up plenty earlier in the game. Defense was solid again, but I think Dallas had 6 turnovers. You should be blown out when you do that, but the Giants defense isn't any good save the front four so it turned into a game.

Hilariously sad fact: The Chiefs haven't lead a game at any point this season

Got the stat wrong, they haven't lead in regulation this year. They didn't lead in the Saints game until OT when they won. That makes it not as sad.

So apparently the Jags are rumored to be making a play for Tim Tebo. Jets should just go ahead and deal him if they want him bad enough since it isn't like the Jets have been doing a damn thing with the guy anyways.

I'd take Gabbort over Tebow any day of the week (and that's saying something). Must be another sad ploy to milk Tebowmania for all its worth and try to get them some fans.

Blockbuster game on TNF tomorrow night; Chiefs @ Chargers. :side:

Also, the Giants are playing on Sunday on Sky Sports for the 6000th time this season. Even better, they're playing the shitty Steelers who I'll always be tired of watching.

Looks like I'm streaming some football this week.

re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

If the Dallas defense shows up like they have in most games, it'll be the same bullshit, a close loss. If Atlanta can get big plays in the passing game, it's a blowout.

Atlanta very rarely loses at home these days. It's an auto-loss pretty much.

re: NFL 2012/13 Postseason Thread

Not too many moves today at the trade deadline, Patriots made a pretty bold move in trading a 4th round pick to the Bucs for CB Aqib Talib. If he can stay clean and keep the right attitude, it could work out and help their secondary.
