I just joined this forum, leaving another unmentioned wrestling forum that had some really bad administrative staff. I used to be a moderator for Sony on the Playstation forums, so I knew a little bit about being professional.
That said, I came here to enjoy talking and reading people's opinions about wrestling. I watched wrestling when I was a kid, growing up in the era of Hulk Hogan, Paul Orndorff, Brutus Beefcake, JYD, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat, etc. I watched wrestling on Saturdays and even watched the cartoon Hulk Hogan's Rock -n- Wrestling. I continued to watch on and off through the years but kind of took a break later in high school and college. I picked it up again when the NWO was taking over WCW and watched up until the time Vince Russo ruined everything and it was decided to close shop by Time Warner/AOL. I hadn't watched a bit of wrestling for years ... in fact I had zero interest in it. Fast forward to present day. I have a six year old son who is just in love with pro wrestling, so I got back into it so we would have something to connect us and bond us. We watch RAW and Smackdown whenever possible ... thank god for DVR so I can get him to bed at a reasonable time. We even use his WWE playsets to set up matches that we record on video with proper entrance music and everything. Great fun! Honestly, I really do enjoy watching it again because it makes me feel like a kid and it is something my son and I can look forward to doing together.
It took me a little while to get to know all of the new wrestlers. I only knew a few of them, like Jericho and the Big Show. I had to learn about the others and eventually chose CM Punk as my favorite wrestler. My son likes Zack Ryder and John Cena.
