Yes, I know. But I don't understand how Free Market would help build roads and healthcare. Could you show me any cases where this is true? Because I live in America, and if free market is helping building the roads...I don't see it.

Do u drive to work on our roads? I do. I'm positive all of us do... If you don't, move and blame your local state government. Theres tons of highways in America... I can show you a map.

Yes still underneath a capitalist umbrella. We are in general more of a free market system still. Yes, taxes help build the roads... I don't see what you're getting at here fellas. lol. I said I was for taxes. In limited amounts. Reread my posts.

But you still live in Toledo, right? Because I moved away a long time ago, but still long for Tony Packo's. You can't even imagine what we have to put up with here in SW Ohio regarding chili and hot dogs.

Seriously though, I have had all I want from the UAW. That union cost me a good job on one hand, and gained me another by accident due to their incompetence. In my experience, unions in America try to do more good for themselves than for their workers. So I am generally opposed to them and would not want to work in one again based on my personal experience with them. If they were like what Stopspot described where he is, I think they could be more beneficial. But human nature being what it is, I am not going to hold my breath. America is run by politicians and special interests solely.

@Danielson I got asked if I want a position on my union clubs board yesterday. We have our yearly big meeting were we elect the board on Tuesday so I said I'd get back to them on Monday.

Are you trying to figure out if you want take on the added responsibility? What more does it exactly entail? And any sort of raise or bonus for accepting?

I don't get any extra pay or such. The union pays for travel expenses and such if I travel for it ( say to a meeting). But yeah, I am trying to figure out if I feel ready to take the responsibility. It's not a big position like president or treasurer, but it is a bit of added responsibility for sure.
