NJPW STRONG REPORT: TAG TEAM TURBULENCE BEGINS

We are in Los Angeles, California and your announcers are Shigeki Kiyono, Katsayuri Shibata, and Hiroshi Tanahashi (in Japanese) or Kevin Kelly and Alex Koslov (in English).

Match Number One: Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson versus TJP and Clark Connors in a First Round Tag Team Turbulence Match

Connors and Anderson start things off. They lock up and Connors grabs the leg but Anderson is in the ropes and he breaks the hold. They lock up and Anderson with a wrist lock and Connors with a reversal. Anderson with a side head lock and Connors with a side head lock. Anderson with forearms and Connors with a shoulder tackle. TJP tags in and they hit a double back elbow followed by kicks for a near fall.

TJP with an arm bar. Gallows tags in and Anderson with a shoulder in the corner. Gallows with a kick and TJP with a drop kick to the knees. Connors tags in and chops Gallows. Connors with more chops and kicks followed by a European uppercut and punches. Gallows with a boot to Connors. Gallows with a round kick to the head. Gallows with the cover up uppercuts and then he tags in Anderson who kicks Connors. Connors with a chop and Anderson backs Connors into the corner. Gallows tags in and he kicks Connors.

Gallows with a head butt and suplex. Gallows with an elbow drop for a near fall. Gallows with a reverse chin lock. Gallows with a forearm and slam but he misses an elbow drop when Connors moves. Anderson tags in and Connors kicks him away and tags in TJP. TJP with a reversal atomic drop and springboard forearm. TJP drop kicks Gallows off the apron. TJP with kicks but Anderson grabs TJP and tries for a Gun Stun but TJP escapes. TJP floasts over in the corner and he kicks Anderson. TJP with a shoudler and Connors tags in. Gallows goes to the floor when he tries to interfere. TJP with a pop up kick to Anderson followed by a bulldog from Connors for a near fall. Gallows punches TJP and sends him to the floor. Gallows with an Irish whip and Anderson with a boot in the corner. Gallows with a splash followed by a neck breaker and belly-to-back suplex combination. Anderson Irish whips Connors into the corner and they do the same to TJP. Connors drop kicks Anderson while TJP drop kicks Gallows.

TJP tags in and he goes up top but leaps over Connors and lands on his feet. TJP stares angrily at Connors and Anderson with a spinebuster. Gallows kicks Connors to the floor and they Gallows and Anderson hit Magic Killer for the three count.

Winners: Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows (Advance to Face winner of Narita/Nagata vs Yehi/Yuta)

Match Number Two: Yuji Nagata and Ren Narita versus Fred Yehi and Wheeler Yuta in a First Round Tag Team Turbulence Match

Yuta and Narita start things off and Narita with a kick to the leg. Yuta goes for the leg and Narita with a front face lock into a waist lock. Yuta with a wrist lock and Narita with a reversal. Yuta with a single leg take down and then he puts Narita in a bow and arrow but Narita with a lateral press for a near fall.

Narita with an arm drag into a wrist lock and take down. Yuta gets to the ropes and Narita breaks. Yehi tags in and they lock up. Yehi with a waist lock but Narita with a wrist lock. Yehi with a take down and Nagata tags in. They lock up and Nagata with a wrist lock. Yehi with a waist lock and a single leg take down for a enar fall.

They go to a Greco Roman Knuckle Lock and Nagata gets Yehi to the mat but Yehi bridges and escapes into a wrist lock and a hammer lock using the leg. Nagata gets to the ropes. Yuta tags back in and so does Narita. They lock up and Narita with a side head lock. Narita holds on when Yuta goes for a rollup. Narita with a shoulder tackle and then he knocks Yehi off the apron. Naritta with kicks in the corner followed by a hip toss for a near fall.

Nagata tags in and they hit a double shoulder tackle. Nagata kicks Yehi off the apron. Nagata works on the shoulder and applies an arm bar. Nagata continues to work on the shoulder and Naritaa tags in and goes to the turnbuckles for a double sledge. Yuta with a punch but Narita with kicks and a slam for a near fall. Yuta and Narita with forearms and then Narita kicks Yuta in the corner and follows with a European uppercut. Nagata tags in and he kicks Yuta. Yuta with a drop kick and Yehi tags in and he connects with a shoulder tackle and more shoulders in the corner. Yehi with an Irish whip and running forearm into the corner. Nagata blocks a suplex and Yehi with a chop. They go back and forth with forearms. Nagata with a boot and Yehi with strikes and a flatliner for a near fall.

Yehi sends Narita to the floor and then he kicks Nagata. Nagata with a drop kick to the knee followed by an exploder for a near fall. Narita tags in and Yehi with a chop. Yuta tags in and he blocks a kick and then Yehi stomps on the foot and Yuta with a back senton for a near fall. Yuta with a German suplex for a near fall. Yuta holds on to the waist lock but Narita with a standing switch and a rear naked choke into an abdominal stretch. Yuta struggles to get to the ropes and Narita returns to the rear naked choke. Yehi helps Yuta get out of the hold and Yuta with an inside cradle for a near fall.

Yuta with a reverse atomic drop and enzuigiri but Narita with a spinning heel kick for a near fall. Narita with a Northern Lights suplex followed by an overhead belly-to-belly suplex for a near fall. Yehi and Nagata fight to the floor and Narita with a Northern Lights suplex for the three count.

Winners: Ren Narita and Yuji Nagata (Advance to face Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows)

It is time for the Cleaning and Disinfection Break.

Match Number Three: Kevin Knight and DKC versus Jorel Nelson and Royce Isaacs in a First Round Tag Team Turbulence Match

Nelson and Knight start things off and Knight goes for the leg but Nelson escapes. They lock up and Knight with a wrist lock. Nelson with a reversal but Knight with a reversal and take down. Nelson with a punch and arm drag. Knight with an arm drag. Knight with a shoulder tackle and he gets a brief cover on Nelson. DKC tags in and they hit a double hip toss. DKC with a fist drop into a reverse chin lock. Isaacs tags in and he runs DKC into the turnbuckles but misses a splash. DKC with a forearm and a series of chops and a rollup for a near fall.

DCK goes for Rings of Saturn but Isaacs gets to his feet and drops DKC on the top rope. Nelson gets in a shot on DKC and the referee warns him. Isaacs with an exploder and he gets a near fall. DKC with a punch but Isaacs with a punch and he sends DKC into the turnbuckles. Nelson tags in and he kicks DKC in the corner. Nelson runs his forearm across the bridge of the nose and then he punches DKC. DKC with a rollup for a near fall. Nelson gets DKC up and Isaacs tags in and they hit side slam and leg drop combination for a near fall.

DKC with forearms and chops to Isaacs followed by a back fist. Isaacs sends DKC into a neutral corner but he runs into an elbow from DKC. DKC with a jumping side kick off the turnbuckles. Nelson and Knight tag in and they exchange forearms. Nelson with a knee and Knight with a drop kick. Knight with a tilt-a-whirl slam followed by a sliding forearm for a near fall. DKC trips Nelson and hits a bulldog followed by a splash from Knight for a near fall. Nelson takes advantage of Knight losing focus and hits a jumping knee. Isaacs tags in and hits a pump handle power slam for a near fall. Isaacs and Nelson hit a power slam and power bomb combination. Knight with an inside cradle for a near fall. DKC and Nelson fight in the ring and Nelson with a spinebuster. Isaacs gets Knight on his shoulders and then Nelson with an elbow drop off Knight’s back onto DKC followed by a Death Valley Driver by Isaacs onto Nelson’s knees for the three count.

Winners: Royce Isaacs and Jorel Nelson (Advance to face winner of King/Dickinson vs Kratos/Limelight)

Match Number Four: JR Kratos and Danny Limelight versus Brody King and Chris Dickinson in a First Round Tag Team Turbulence Match

King and Kratos start things off. They go for clotheslines at the same time and go to a stalemate. They exchange forearms and King with a clothesline. Kratos with a clothesline. They exchange forearms and then Kratos with a kick. King with a back body drop and Dickinson tags in as well as a Limelight and then Limelight goes to the floor and Dickinson follows him.

They get back into the ring and Limelight kicks Dickinson and connects with a forearm. Kratos with a knee from the apron and Limelight with a reverse chin lock. Kratos tags in and kicks Dickinson. Kratos with a forearm and kicks to Dickinson. Kratos with a hard Irish whip and he kicks Dickinson. Limelight tags in and connects with a knee and he drops a knee on the arm. Limelight with a knee and judo throw into a head lock but Dickinson gets to the ropes. Kratos tags in and Limelight with a knee into the corner and then Kratos and Limelight double team Dickinson while King deals with the referee.

Kratos with a suplex for a near fall. Limelight tags in and he kicks Dickinson in the corner. Limelight with a front face lock. Limelight backs Dickinson into the corner and then he connects with knees. Kratos tags in and he slaps Dickinson in the face. Dickinson with forearms and chops to Kratos. Dickinson with clotheslines but Kratos stays on his feet. Dickinson with an enzuigiri and Kratos responds with an enzuigiri of his own. Dickinson with a tornado DDT and both men are down.

King and Limelight tag in and King with clotheslines. King with a chop and he gets Limelight up for a slam but Limelight gets to his feet. Limelight goes for a springboard move but King catches him and hits a power bomb. Dickinson with a spinning heel kick to Kratos. Dickinson tags in and King with a splash to Limelight and Dickinson with a clothesline into the corner followed by chops and kicks. Dickinson with a clothesline into the corner but Kratos trips Dickinson and hits a German suplex. King with a suicide dive to Kratos and Dickinson blocks a low blow. Dickinson with a short arm clothesline followed by a German suplex and a Death Valley Driver for the three count.

Winners: Chris Dickinson and Brody King (Advance to face Issacs and Nelson)

Damn Ibushi still out get better Kota please. I'm about to watch today's Show in a few mins I don't need the English Commentary been listening to the Japanese Crews for Years especially in Joshi it's no problem for me.

Kota Ibushi has been diagnosed with aspiration pneumonia. His illness is not connected to his COVID inoculation as was previously reported. Ibushi will be absent from events through July 24, with an update to be provided on his status July 25.

That's scary, hope for a speedy recovery.

Yeah I had a bad feeling Ibushi being out longer than they thought was something to do with something super serious. I'm reading up on this and lucky for Ibushi they caught it early because Surgery in severe cases need to happen if he had fluid in his lungs. Praying for Ibushi and him getting through this.

Them thinking it was vaccine related is probably good news too since he was monitored so early. I've heard a few people say if it wasn't COVID times he would have wrestled that first day he missed bc he just had a fever but COVID protocols make that a no-no obviously
