Don't want this post to be missed. Not even 60 years lol, my math ain't too pro. 50 years. When we are only 50 years away from accepted, legislated racism against blacks you can kind of understand how they 'get away' with more racism than whites do against blacks. The sides are not balanced because lets face it, white people are evil and we treated them like shit for hundreds of years. If I were black, especially an older balck person who grew up in the 50s/60s I doubt I'd be all cool with white folk either

I can safely say that I would have never taken part in racism or slavery because I'm not an idiot and I could have easily seen (if I was alive back then) that slavery would be something that would one day become abolished. So yes, in 2013 when blacks have all their rights and when the black youth of today has no greater chance of suffering racism or injustices than the white man does (last I checked, our black President was serving his second consecutive term in office), I do tend to view them as the same. It's supposed to be part of us evolving morally and ethically as a species - not holding us accountable for the 'sins' of the generations that came before us.

I get what you are saying yet at the same time, blacks are still widely looked down on. Not saying they are completely innocent in their acts but if my ancestors got treated like shit, I'd be pissed. Look at the Native Americans. They may have took their grief more peacefully, but you know they are still upset over the matter.
