NEED HELP! On fixing usb port plug thing in laptop.

Odd question but is it on charge? No idea why but my laptop's usb ports get temperamental when the battery is low.

If you use that USB a lot it's entirely possible the heat has melted some solder between the motherboard and the port, and when its cooled, its cracked so it doesn't work. If you've dropped the laptop this could have done the same damage.

It may feel cool, but the constant use of the USB can cause heat you can't feel. Have you ever took a USB out after non-stop use for 6 hours? It gets hot.

There's no point giving a fix when you don't know your issue.

If you know how, take off the base of your laptop and have a look at the USBs connection to the MB.

Are there no computer/tech stores near you that you can take it to? I have like 10 within a 2 mile radius :shock:
