The Big 12 Conference because of the lack of games being played originally had its Divisional Shield Bonus Point removed from play this week, but this would be inconsequential as no one would manage to get 2/2 correct. This week the shield is shared by Chris, HoHo, Shania, and Juice.
The AAC would be very competitive this week with Shania and Chris both claiming the conference this week by going 4/4 by putting their money on Tulsa rather than the favourited SMU. When the divisions are tight - it is clear that this addition to their point differential could prove to be game changing further down the line.
There would be mixed result in the Atlantic Coast Conference - but HoHo would go flawless by getting 100% of their picks correct to not only claim the the Division Shield but also claim the bonus point that comes with the accolade of going flawless.
The Big Ten this week is shared by Juice and Blaze who got 5/6 of their picks correct - for Juice this is clearly important to attempt to catch Chris - for Blaze important to climb off the bottom.
Everyone apart from Shania (who went 2/3) tied in the SEC with 3/3 correct, but a lot of this is very much due to the fact that a total of four games were postponed.
The Conference USA is shared this week by Chris, HoHo and MyPrerogative who went 4/4 and although no bonus points will be given - they continue to add to their points tally.
Ahead of the week it was informed that if anyone went flawless in the No Affiliation Conference they would be awarded three bonus points and with a run of games being postponed this task would become slightly easier to accomplish - which it would be by MyPrerogative who went flawless with 13/13 and thus claims three additional bonus points in the process.
For the third week in a row our Weekly Prediction Championship is shared for as both Chris and MyPrerogative went 31-6 in another tight week of predictions. HoHo and Juice were neck and neck in their pursuit of Chris, whilst one has to wonder what the consequences of claiming double digit losses will be for Shania and Blaze in the long run.
Week Eleven | Wins | Losses | PCT |
Chris | 31 | 6 | 0.837 |
MyPrerogative | 31 | 6 | 0.837 |
HoHo Kimura | 29 | 8 | 0.783 |
Juice | 28 | 9 | 0.756 |
Shania Twain | 26 | 11 | 0.702 |
Blaze | 23 | 14 | 0.621 |
Chris lead over his closet rival now stretches to 8 wins - and they now find themselves just one win short of 200. MyPrerogative however, has closed up the the gap between themselves and Juice. Blaze has very much fallen off the pace, whilst HoHo and Shania are now bouncing around as they battle for 4th position.
Overall Standings | Wins | Losses | Division Shield Bonus Points | PCT |
Chris | 199 | 64 | 0 | 0.756 |
Juice | 190 | 73 | 1 | 0.726 |
MyPrerogative | 179 | 84 | 3 | 0.692 |
HoHo Kimura | 174 | 89 | 2 | 0.669 |
Shania Twain | 173 | 90 | 1 | 0.661 |
Blaze | 157 | 106 | 1 | 0.600 |
Overall Standings | Wins(+DSBP) | Losses | Points Differential |
Chris | 199 | 64 | +23 |
Juice | 191 | 73 | +15 |
MyPrerogative | 182 | 84 | +6 |
HoHo Kimura | 176 | 89 | 0 |
Shania Twain | 174 | 90 | -2 |
Blaze | 158 | 106 | -18 |
As we wrap up Week Eleven - we have one more week before two predictors will be eliminated from the Overall Standing (although will still be part of the competition). At this point it would seem as both Chris and Juice have both already advanced to the Round of Four with just one week of predictions remaining. At the same time it would seem that with a -18 points differential Blaze is all but out of contention of advancing to the next round. The real interest now focuses in on MyPrerogative, HoHo and Shania who between them has a gap of eight points with only one of them able to advance to the Round of Four. Once four advance - they will have 1000 adds to their points differential to act as indication of their elevated status.
