Championship Round Update

We update the score after Thursday and Friday games with only two games being cancelled and the game between Utah & Colorado now being played on Saturday meaning so far only five games have taken place so far.
  1. Florida Atlantic at Southern Miss - Thursday
  2. Pittsburgh at Georgia Tech - Thursday

  4. Arizona State at Arizona - Friday
  5. Nevada at San Jose State - Friday

Chris and Juice are neck and neck at 4-1, with HoHo just behind with 3-2 in the Championship Round. Mean whilst, Blaze has yet to make any predictions which has resulted in Shania and My Prerogative tied 2-3 apiece as the pair battle for the secondary Copper Bow.

Championship Round Update

We update the scores after a number of the earlier games from Saturday have now finished, a total of eleven meaning that so far a total of 16 games have now been finalised on this final week of play.
  1. Alabama 1 at Arkansas x
  2. Georgia 8 at Missouri x
  3. Illinois at Northwestern 14 x
  4. Western Mich. at Ball State
  5. North Ill. at Eastern Mich. x
  6. Wake Forest at Louisville x
  7. Rutgers at Maryland x
  8. Minnesota at Nebraska x
  9. UAB at Rice x
  10. Utah at Colorado x
  11. Michigan State at Penn State x

The early Saturday games - by strange coincidences saw all three predictors go 7-4, which means that Chris and Juice remain tied at 11-5, whilst HoHo is one short at 10-6. The rest of the evening is going to be a nail biting finish for everyone involved. In fact - even our two Copper Bowl competitors also went 7-4 in the early games, meaning that even our minor competition is turning into really tight affair.

There are 22 games remaining - and at this point anyone could leave as the victory.

Championship Round Update

Ten more games have reached their conclusion, meaning that their is a total of eleven games that are either still going on or will commence later on in the evening (being a UK Resident) the finally update will happen tomorrow morning.
  1. North Carolina 17 at Miami (FL)
  2. Akron at Buffalo
  3. Navy at Army
  4. Central Mich. at Toledo
  5. Houston at Memphis
  6. Duke at Florida State
  7. Tennessee at Vanderbilt
  8. Coastal Carolina 18 at Troy
  9. Wisconsin 16 at Iowa 19
  10. Oklahoma State 15 at Baylor

The game of even-steven would continue with all three of our Championship Round predictors getting a high % of their picks correct. Chris and HoHo would both go 8-2 in this additional ten games, whilst Juice would just fall behind at 7-3. This now means that with just eleven games remaining Chris has taken a lead of just 1 correct score, with Juice and HoHo hot on his heels.

Despite the Copper Bowl one being a two-horse race both Shania and MyPrerogative have continued to make this an exciting spectacle. KIF would claim an impressive 7-3 for this batch of ten games, but it would be MyP who would claim one extra victory going 8-2 and taking the lead in the Copper Bowl for the first time.

The next update this will take place tomorrow morning, will feature the scores from the last 11 fixtures in this prediction contest. What has the rest of the evening got in store for us? Surely - we won't have to rely on a tiebreak round during next week's games?

Championship Round Finale & Division Shield Ceremony

Just to keep the excitement and anticipation lasting a little bit longer, the final eleven results will have the Division Shield Ceremony placed in the middle.
  1. LSU at Florida 6
  2. Southern California 20 at UCLA
  3. App State at Georgia Southern
  4. Boise State at Wyoming
  5. Louisiana Tech at TCU
  6. Auburn at Mississippi State
In these first six games Chris would continue to look strong as he would go 5-1, and Juice would equal the points leader to also go 5-1. HoHo though, would lose the slightest bit of ground to go 4-2 meaning that with just five games left to tally the pressure on the home straight can really be felt now.

HoHo Kimura2210-2

Emotions are no doubt getting raised and MyP would actually have a massive slip going 3-3 in these particular games, whilst KIF would make a monster push going 5-1 to push themselves back into the lead and be within a fingers grasp of lifting the Copper Bowl.

+ + + + + + + + + + +

Before we continue - we first will take a pause to recognise our overall Divisional Shield Winners. From Week Five we were introduced to Division Shields for the ACC, The Big 12, The SEC, C-USA and the AAC and with latter introduction in Week 8 of the No-Affiliation Conference and the Big Ten in which bonus points were awarded if we had a sole weekly winner who went 100%. Due to the nature of predictions, we had a number of weeks in which the Division Shields would be jointly held. Over the duration of the season, a tally has been taken and I can now reveal who is the standout Divisional Shield winners for each particular conference. (in the case of a tie - the person who has held the shield most individually will be awarded the accolade.)

uixvnYGFRSif5BYpeWxOMudljxDSyEjAeHmr-N7GJDMNjge6Pg-JqEPoJNr9KoaEoLNO6rcd_GmZK1TsiMsv9wTk6ttw8uuvnlsBJdlBhfJ7xDAxa0g_s0CMupNSfZ5e_277seA4

The No-Affiliation Conference would be held twice HoHo and Blaze, and thrice by MyPrerogative but on final tally this Divisional Shield would be jointly won by both Chris and Juice four times. However - Juice would hold the title solo in Week 10 to break this tie.

Overall Winner: Juice

1603046481079.png

The Big 10 like the NAC would be a Week 8 introduction, but nonetheless prove to be a very competitive division shield to be battled for. HoHo and Blaze would both hold this shield once each, with Chris and Shania holding it twice, but on a final count of three both MyPrerogative and Juice would hold the shield three times. MyPrerogative would be the only one out of the pair to hold the shield individually on Week 8 to break this tie.

Overall Winner: My Prerogative

JhiBlSSMcHR_j1onaeNyDDiqPiy21MM6d8g1kOYG5flafJ0xryiygJoLKa2mLYai4RaN8zuDxW_PtvhDUj5txJ612WTybc6WUj8x2bh4P2FJgJx8D52BjU_PcjBIRWKmZZSy3Cpe

The SEC would prove be without a shadow of a doubt one of the closest to call division shields each and every week with Chris being the only outright winner of this shield which he would achieve in Week 6 with the shield being tied on every other occasion. In fitting style though Chris would hold the SEC a total of eight times - which after the doing the maths would be the most amount of weeks that anyone would hold any shield in the competition. HoHo would finish in 2nd with seven times, MyP six times, Juice five times and Shania and Blaze twice apiece.

Overall Winner: Chris

Yyy5sesrC5WVFME7EW_PhVT-P1iWITLmRVcs-_cJ_JKBM76h6r11qfXGTOWULDVwTikXnAOLcULsSzerbMcINyx9NdlljnCiKP5yMo_XssQ1vR3rLTHNVg7d8-yBptWn1_HWMzCN

The Conference USA would be one of the shields that would be often plagued by game postponements and cancellations and often be tied. HoHo would be the only outright winner of this shield which they would achieve in Week 5. However, they are in fact not the overall winner having only held it five times jointly with Blaze, with Shania only holding it less two times. MyPrerogative, Chris and Juice find themselves all tied for holding this shield six times and become our first joint winner with no separation being possible.

Overall Winners: Chris, Juice & MyPrerogative

6DfsxHlYPlSWGkC8X1JuHu_TblhP2IZvWj0hrgQJ1n8NyetpfSYi_CCmMFTlAqnLDR5lSbqSLtVssIwSctAl-icTBtbTNPb4I1UE2RNHOQ7B_SX6DYuQGTdlfBPsFC95K97NfT3n

The AAC would be only held once by Blaze, with both Juice and MyPrerogative holding it three times. Strangely enough despite HoHo being the predictor to win the shield most individually doing so in Week 7 & 12 they would only managed to claim the shield four times with Shania meaning that having held it six times all in the form of ties, Chris wins the AAC to claim his third overall Divisional Shield for the season.

Overall Winner: Chris

The Big 12 would be another of the very close conference for predictions in our first season (hopefully we will run again next season) being held on a number of occasions by sole individuals. Blaze would only claim it once, Shania twice, MyPrerogative thrice and HoHo and Juice sharing the spoils four times but once again with five times to his name Chris would add another shield to his trophy cabinet.

Overall Winner: Chris

ruGfDXV1iROkcnfOjw_pRBYN097uOvNJqdXULMciqvKScAWkH-GpY6DYuT_0GrLJt9xv0QGaHbP35OASg_Hmbx0TNN0KJtvaCLiHanqxFM45T9PJuMUPJjxinGrqu3XRUNnZbyIO

The final Division Shield is the ACC which would be the only shield to be held by two individuals on two difference occasions in sole shield victories with both Blaze and Chris holding it, with Blaze victories coming in weeks 6 & 12 and Chris' weeks 7 & 14. However, this isn't about single victories about overall accumulation. With the lowest amount of claims with once was Shania, followed by MyP with twice, Blaze and Juice thrice and HoHo having claimed it four times - leaving Chris as the final winner with the shield holding it on seven different occasions.

Overall Winner: Chris

Congratulations are in order to Chris who claims four Division Shields outright (ACC, Big-12, AAC & SEC) as well as sharing the C-USA with Juice and MyPrerogative.

With additional recognition to MyPrerogative for winning the Big-10 and Juice for winning the No-Affiliation Conference shields.

In the Round of Four we were all introduced to the Eastern and Western Conferences, which at the time neither Blaze or Shania were eligible for. However, the combined times all the shields have been held have now been tallied up Eastern Conference (AAC, ACC & SEC) and Western Conference (Big-10, Big-12 & C-USA) to crown our overall Conference Division Shield Winners.

Championship Round Update

Below are the final fives games of our championship round in what has proven to be an extremely close affair for everyone involved.

San Diego State at BYU 13
Virginia at Virginia Tech
Stanford
at Oregon State
Fresno State at New Mexico
UNLV at Hawaii

In our final fives games, MyPrerogative would continue to slip down the order going 2-3, meaning that all KIF needed was to claim to victories to win the Copper Bowl and he would more than meet his mark by claiming 4-1 in the final five games - meaning that KIF/Shania is the NCAA Prediction Copper Bowl 2020 Winner.

Shania Twain2512Winner

In our Championship Round HoHo would only manage to go 3-2, meaning that they were going to have to rely massively on everyone else to falter to have any chance of winning the championship. However, Chris and Juice would each go 4-1, meaning that by just one sole victory Chris has become our NCAA Football 2020 Prediction Champion. Congratulations!
