Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Jonny Flynn. Again, can't hold their idiocy against them.

Flynn, has been injured a lot. Can't call him a bust yet, but still the trade for KG was way better then the one for Pau. It really isn't close.

I'll concede that Boston gave up more on paper, but I do believe that Memphis's management benefited from the assets that they got, much more (largely because they had a plan in mind when making the deal). Would any of you argue that?

I can argue a little bit. Minnesota knew they needed a point guard and a lot of people thought Flynn would be real real good. I especially did, i was a huge fan of him at Syracuse. If he turned out to be good, Minnesota would be actually a pretty good team right now.

Memphis's record with Marc and Z-bo is better than their record with Pau his last couple of years there.

Plus I'll never get that Minny pick, when they also selected Rubio whose ceiling is so much higher than his and Curry/Jennings were both available to be picked by them as well in that draft.

Memphis' roster with Pau was so much worse then what they have now. mainly in part to Rudy Gay.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Pau had Rudy, a younger one but he also had a Mike Miller that was damn good. He had more depth on those Hubie teams 1-10 than the current Griz have

Eh maybe. I think Memphis has a nice young team now. Pau i feel like just had no other big guy to help while Marc has Randolph and they are a good tandem together.

Those Hubie teams ran 10 men rotations

White Chocolate, Posey, Battier, Pau, Wright
Watson, Bonzi, Miller, Swift, Jake

This Memphis has 5 players
Conley, Mayo, Gay, Z-bo, and MArc

Fun Fact: Orlando is the only team in the NBA with a winning record over the KG-era Celtics

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

I'd guess it would be regular and postseason combined. I know LA is 1 win away from being 500 versus them, and that they have a winning record with Bynum and losing record without versus them.

I'd also guess that the Cavs have a close regular season record with them.

Wouldn't you have to count the series that KG never played in?

Yes, PSYCH, it's in the fucking record book. I know you want an asterisk every time someone gets hurt.
