They have his bird rights so they can pay him no matter what. How they do in the playoffs will likely decide if he picks up his option next year though.

Yeah, but it severely limits Orlando financially for years to come, thanks to Hedo and Arenas' huge contracts. It could make Orlando unable to re-sign Dwight to a max contract.
