Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

Good job :p

The only incentive is pushing Kobe out to pasture for the new generation to take over, but at the end of the day that sounds stupid to say because he is still their top draw around the world

I've laughed at his commentary numerous times. Some of those times were when he wasn't trying to be funny but yeah.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

I think it was u who suggested they picked up his option only to trade him next season right? Pretty much see that happening and see that as the only reason they did it.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

At least they have the option to do that now. Plus they get one season of better PG play than they'd get from Toney Douglas or any free agent available. The worst case scenario is that Billups sucks, they don't trade him, and he walks. Dolan's out $10 million and they can move forward the season after.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

No way, not until NYK knows they can't pry another megastar away. Nash at age 49 (or however old he is) won't accomplish what they want, building a dominant team for years ahead.

Are you trying to make me rage? Cause it almost worked.

Front office already said they want Nash to retire here basically and that is what Nash wants to do as well. Hill is leaning toward coming back this year as opposed to retiring and that is mostly because he loves playing in Phoenix. Despite how the season ended up Dudley showed he deserves to be a starter, Frye showing he is only gonna keep getting better and Suns finally got the center they have always been looking for in Gortat. Think the team will be really good next year just need to add a few more people. Don't know whats out there in FA or what's gonna be in the draft but yeah.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

I just said that because if they are keeping Dantoni, they may want a PG who can actually run his system. Nash fits the bill since they aren't getting Felton back, and we all know that Walsh wanted Hill. He and Pringles went after Hill and Kidd to join the Knicks when they were free agents last time.

I think Billups could easily develop Brooks better than Nash going off his past history, and I think the Suns staff would keep him healthy.

I'd understand if Nash wants to retire as a Sun though.

Re: NBA Regular Season Discussion Thread

I mean I could def see Dantoni wanting Steve again for sure but I think Steve stays put and plays the last few years he says he wants to play in Phoenix. I know for sure though Suns aren't even gonna think about bringing Carter back, lol.
