Well he's expiring and was going to walk anyway...He's young, and has a pretty good game. Great pick up imo. I wouldn't have given up Turner for Granger if i'm the 76ers.
I don't see Indiana finding a way to re-sign him either.
Philly had been shopping Turner for a 2nd round pick for weeks. Nobody wanted him. He is pretty much as a bust as the #2 overall pick. His 'career breakout year' this year he is shooting 42% and has a 50% true shooting %. These 'career bests' are 'barely passable' for a starter.
Turner is a good handle for a guard and solid size. He doesn't do anything really well though, and some of his weaknesses are comically bad (jump shot). Reading he will come off the bench, that's probably the role he is suited for in the NBA, not being forced to try and squeeze 20 PPG out of his meager talents on bad teams like in Philly. He is better than Granger's corpse, but this move isn't a determining factor in if they get my Miami or not.
