Name matches destroyed by WWE

Royal Rumble 1995. WWE changed the format of the Rumble. Instead of every two minutes a wrestler enters the ring, the '95 Rumble was shortened up to every minute. The powers-that-be wanted it to make it more exciting for the younger generation whom they assumed didn't have the attention span to sit through a sixty-minute Rumble match. Shawn Michaels entered as the number one entrant, eliminated British Bulldog to win it. But his win wasn't all that special as he was only in the ring for thirty minutes. When people talk about old school Rumbles this rarely gets talked about and with good reason.

The Money in the Bank PPV is fine. The MITB match type does not require a storyline, and it serves a purpose similar to the Royal Rumble. It's one of the only WWE PPVs in the last 10 years that hasn't gotten stale nor has it been ruined.

Hell in a Cell and Elimination Chamber have been thoroughly saturated, and murdered. Both of those were used to settle blood feuds or put on an ultimate test. Besides the fact that matches have become totally and utterly meaningless, they've even made them into cartoon replicas with the bright red paint, the LED lights, and all that shit. All you really have to do is watch Orton v. Undertaker or Batista v. HHH and compare it to the dozens of cell matches over the past 10 years, and you'll see the stark contrast.

What makes it even worse is they had a chance to call an audible, the fans chanted RESTART MATCH for so long, they had PLENTY of time, but thos eidiots didnt take advantedge of it. WHich made it even worse.

And speaking of making it worse, they didnt even turn seth heel afterwards to take advantedge of the heat he had.

They did just not straight after. It bubbled up

Maybe it has lost its ultimate test prestige and edge to it as WWE has a really soft and over produced presentation.

Agree about the HIAC and it's really the match that WWE have messed up the most.

The major issue with the Elimination Chamber is that they hold too many. For a while they were holding two different per show, and I think they still do that. If there was one, and it was a title match, and it had qualifiers and the show was built with the purpose of this match, I can get behind it, but it's just a side piece now.

I think the men's 2019 rumble was fantastic and very meaningful.

Yes over saturation is a problem. But they still sometimes do it properly.

I think a number 1 contenders match with the winner gets to main event wrestle mania is very good. Having 2 on a show and one being for the tag titles is not ideal
