While I wasn't watching wrestling at the time, upon reflection the Nexus angle seems like a tweeked and evolved version of the original nWo angel in WCW. From what I've heard, it worked. So at a time when WWE's cup overfloweth with talent, arguably the best roster in a decade, WWE need to wrap a lot of superstars in storylines. Perhaps a good way to do this would be to create a large faction to attempt to take over the company.

Now while I always bitch about rehashing old angles, some recipes just work too well to dismiss. I nominate Randy Orton to lead the group and as I see the new WWE GM being a face, it only makes sense for this to be a heel group. Possible members: Tensai, Cesaro, Sandow, Hawkins, Reks, Otunga, McIntyre, Mason Ryan, Jinder Mahal, Eve.

So is this an idea that might catch on or am I way off???

I think we already discussed about something familiar to this.

It is no secret that I am an nWo mark and I was always thinking about what you posted, the new nWo.

I don't know about you guys but I think that we will never see the rebirth of nWo. In fact, as we all know WWE would fuck it up.

But I could think of its composition it would be perfect like this: Leader - Randy Orton. His left and right hand - Curt Hawkins and Tyler Reks. Other members - Mason Ryan, Michael McGuillicitty, Dolph Ziggler, Cody Rhodes and if you'd like to see a woman as a part of the nWo, the crazy version of AJ would be perfect. Or Vickie Guerrerro.

Nexus was great, but WWE fucked that up.

When the nWo came to the WWE in 2002, they soon got fucked over by WWE.

So any potential stable, it's going to end up eventually getting fucked over by creative. And I don't see any new stables to the magnitude of those 2 anytime soon.

It's been rehashed too many times for me to start getting excited now.

All for factions being reintroduced, but not old ideas like this.

I am another that would want too see a completely new stable rather than them using the NWO group again. It was great originally but WWE have already brought it back once to mixed success and I don't think that it would work anymore.

I am a huge fan of stables because they are a great way to put wrestlers over and actually give them a storyline. Evolution is the best example of recent times of how to book a stable. A maineventer, a legend who is also a mouthpiece, a young future star and muscle. Everyone who was in Evolution was massive, Batista and Orton are two of the biggest stars created in the past decade and it was thanks to Evolution.

With Abraham Washington finally back on television I want to see him start to build a stable. He already has a tag team so he needs to find an upper-midcarder that can eventually challenge in the mainevent and then a midcarder to challenge for the IC or US title. I also wouldn't mind seeing Wade Barrett lead a group again, he is a fantastic talker and when he returns from injury should be in the mainevent. This time give him some somewhat established names rather than complete rookies again.

WWE didn't really fuck over the NWO. Hogan was too over to stay a heel, Kevin Nash couldn't enter the ring without tearing his ACL and Hall was fighting his demons. It just didn't work out.

Stables very rarely work out in the WWE. Nexus was good but lost all momentum after Summerslam 2010. Legacy was nothing more than two bonafide jobbers following Randy Orton. Evolution was the last really good stable. It may two of the biggest stars in the past ten years.

AW's group is hit or miss. They need a Dolph Ziggler or a Miz as someone who can challenge for the top title and someonel like a Mason Ryan to be a midcard guy.

Agreed. Imagine this scenario if u will: Wade Barrett wins MitB briefcase, cashes it in that nite. William Regal becomes his mentor. Mason Ryan is hired as a bodyguard. Drew McIntyre soon joins and The British Empire is formed. A carbon copy of Evolution.

This would be a great Stable . As it would be something new and will give Mcintyre and Ryan do something . But i dont think this will happen in near future .He already had been leader of 2 groups and which kind of failed and i dont think it would be a good career move for barret at this stage , because he have to be booked strong as single competitor .

Would copying a storyline from a video game be a good idea?

I would rather the nWo stay where it belongs, in the past.

If you were to make a superheel group, you need to get people who are already over, thats where Nexus failed, you don't really expect a group of people straight off NXT to go over established veterans. That would be like the Dungeon of Doom beating down Hogan and Savage.

Ok, ok.... how about something that hasn't been done since DX (as in HHH, X-Pac & the Outlaws); a dominant face group. Maybe Cena, Brodus, Ryder, Kofi & Truth

Or how about a Latin heel group led by ADR with Hunico, Camacho, Primo, Epico, Rosa and of course Ricardo

I don't think a faction of nothing but minorities would go over in this day and age. It barely got over when NOD, Boricuas were having gang warfare with a bunch of bikers back in the day.

I don't even think you can even do a stable of foreigners anymore, just the age we live in now, there are groups of people out there just looking for anything to cry about.

Dominant face groups were predominantly heel, and DX were heel initially. It was the audience that turned them.

If I was to book a giant heel faction, I would borrow the things that worked from the past. Mainly a strong cast, and maybe a giant heel turn like a Cena.

Love this idea. This is the best way I've heard to turn CenaNuff. I would totally dig him turning on Punk or Sheamus to steal the title. But who would join him? Ryback would be awesome, maybe Hawkins & Reks, Tensai, Rhodes????

Ryback would be the muscle for sure, but would like him to have people in his group that would fit into his character, or maybe, he would reveal the actual people he was fighting for in the locker room.

Would definitely turn the WWE on its head. Would have good fodder for Orton and Cena, because WWE has such a boner for them. Could bring up old shit like how the people just cheered Orton when he beat up Cena's goofy dad and how they hated him for just remaining loyal/hustle....blooh blooh blooh.

Would fit the WWE sched for atleast half a year.
