Saying NJPW and ROH are alike is like saying TNA and ECW are the same, ROH are filled with so-called "knowledgeable" fans who seem more bent on making stupid chants and hoping for people to botch stuff, so they can chant the vaunted "you fucked up". The most easily worked crowd I have ever seen.
Right, but I wasn't really comparing the crowds. Japanese fans are the most silent wrestling fans on Earth, so that's obvious.

That was the 90s crowd, watch some new NJPW and see the diferrence. The crowd isn't the same "wrestling being treated like opera and status sybols" anymore, it isn't very popular and is left with very uneducated and vocal fans who desperately want to mimmick everything western culture. Including the audiences. It's no longer "oohs" and applause anymore.
