it really shows you how much he is loved when he's really not even used that much and ppl are still mad about it.

I'm not convinced they thought cena was getting too many cheers and thought faking a truth release would get him boos only for him to see the error of his ways and one way to right his wrongs will be to bring truth back.

is doing a storyline about releases tasteless after they just did release some ppl? yes but it's wwe so they don't care.

TKO has a clear motive of cutting long time people too and it's probably all spreadsheet based bc they just naturally will have higher salaries vs their use. It's so jarring bc that's obviously a stark contrast to Vince but bc of that it feels like a stark contrast to the booking too. Like Truth was used so much better under HHH that Vince, dude was on every show getting serious matches right before that injury that took him out forever and then he comes back and gets this Cena match. But you can't read into that at all, same with Braun being in a hot feud right before release. Corporate WWE just gonna be filled with this

That move is baffling. R-Truth had a few years left in him. Every wave of releases have baffling releases. WWE is going downhill in my opinion.

Corporate WWE doesn't care for the fans. It was fine before the TKO days. Too many bad decisions like five match Pay Per Views, saying stuff like face, heel, work, and shoot on live TV, and ads on the ring. Owen Hart died in the ring. I find ads being on the ring disrespectful. Saying stuff that makes wrestling look fake on TV is ridiculous. You must protect kayfabe at all times on TV. I prefer the PPVs being stacked with matches. It made my viewing experience excellent.

I dunno, I think the previous regime of Vince/Nick was way more purely spreadsheet focused for releases than the current regime. The way they got to some of those names they released felt so scattergun that it was hard to believe it could be anything other than a money reason

I feel like Vince would be the assumption, though with the amount of turnover they have in NXT/PC now i'd imagine it'd be real close

CARLITO EXITING WWE

By Mike Johnson on 2025-06-01 16:37:00
Carlito will be exiting WWE, PWInsider.com can exclusively confirm.

Similar to R-Truth, we are told that Carlito's current WWE deal will not be renewed and once it runs its course, he will be departing the company.

God damn it, it's a new thread, just as I'd renamed the old one for both men too :francis
I merged them. No reason for two threads tbh.

[Fightful Select] Reaction from WWE talent to R-Truth's departure was unlike anything Fightful has covered, being the most criticized and universally disliked departure in 9 years of the outlet covering WWE exits. One top talent called it "total nonsense" and another called the regime "ruthless".

That's good and all... but how many of them will actually put it onto the pile of reasons for considering to leave the company (or not sign new contracts with them) and how many will basically forget it happened within the next month or two (or when they suddenly get a surprise bonus check or something like that)?

Also, if this is actually correct and not somewhat exaggerated, then it makes me believe even more, that the WWE's gonna (try to) Legend's/Ambassador's contract him as fast as possible.

...and lastly. If money truly is the reasoning behind this, then the seemingly already pissed of talent should be probably way more angry about it, than they already are. I mean we all know that the WWE is making bank like crazy. They themselves love it so much to tell people about it... and in quite a few cases it's not a secret what certain people on their payroll earn. Makes me think they're planning to put a ton of (and probably way too much) money on the table of some talents, owners, celebrities or heck maybe someone completely different for who knows what.

The only thing that is for certain is that the whole story has a very questionable side to it.

Yeah no shock to see especially Truth people not happy hearing this News. You can have all the fame and money and be a major dick I'll rather leave this World with people talking about how good a person I was.

The Carilto one tbf makes much more sense than Truth. All Carilto really did was play 2k25 in the background of judgement day segments.
