HBK/Flair had an decent Match at Bad Blood 2003...

But Yeah HBK would be mr WM

HBK vs Ramon wm 10
HBK vs Diesel WM 11
HBK vs Hart WM 12
HBK Vs austin wm 14
HBK vs y2J wm 19
HBK/Benoit/HHH wm 20
HBK/angle WM 21
HBK/Cena WM 23

that his record from them are 2-6

HBK vs Vince was good bout 3.5 stars... But not one of hbk greatest matches.. But it would be one of vince best matches, cause HBK basically carried his ass... (i wouldn't list it in my top 15 favourite HBK matches catergory) it was good, but i think some people overrated it sometimes, just Like HHH/Cena wm 22 n Cena/Orton summerslam 2007....

WM 9 he was in the best match on PPV HBK/Tatanka.. but that was 3 stars at best.

hopefully in the future we get another HBK/Mysterio as there E.G. tribute match was good.... or another HBK/Y2J encounter or even HBK/Shelton benjamin again...

I am gonna say HBK is Mr. WM as well because he always pulls it off, win or lose he alwas puts on the best show hecan for the fans at the grandest stage of them all. Anothe person who has had some good matches is Kurt Angle:

Vs Rey Vs Orton
Vs Brock Lesnar
Vs HBK
Vs Benoit

Don't forget Eddie Guerrero at Wm 20.

Oh and his triple threat match against Benoit and Jericho.

HBK's win loss record at WM hasn't been brilliantly brilliant in recent years, but nobody can say after one of his matches "oh Shawn could've done better in that match" As noone gives a better performance than HBK and his results are just due to booking.

Therefore HBK = Mr Wrestlemania

^In Kayfabe there is no doubt that Undertaker is Mr. Wrestlemania. But, as was said before I've never left a match saying HBK could have been better, not that I've really said that with Undertaker, but HBK tears the house down everytime. In my mind it's a no contest.

HBK has faced better people then Taker has. Undefeated facing nobodies and HBK wins and losses over the best.

HBK is Mr.WrestleMania for people that say Kurts up their for that title are fools he aint even signed with the WWE anymore and hasn't been in any Wrestlemania recently saying him is just "silly".

Not gonna debate the quality of HBKs matches or supposed superiority, but you honestly think Taker fights "nobodies"????

A-list:
Batista
Jake The Snake
Jimmy Snuka
HHH
Kane
Ric Flair
Diesel
Orton

Others:
Big Show/A-Train
Sid
Gonzalez
Boss Man
Mark Henry
Bundy

....HARDLY!!!!

It's about legacy... Why does it matter whether they are currently on the WWE roster or that they've not wrestled @ WM for a couple of years?

Would you count Hogan out of the runnings for the same reasons?

...And will you do the same for HBK & Taker once they retire (All of a sudden 15-0 or "Mr Wrestlemania" gimmicks and their respective performances don't mean shit????)?

Compare that list to HBKs list of people who had better people??

How could the title of Mr.WrestleMania go to Angle if he left the company and down talked them!?! Hogan made wrestling he is at a different level then Angle. Last I checked your legacy is erased if you leave the company and down talk them or die.

Actually the 15-0 is a gimmick the actually title of Mr.WrestleMania was earned by HBK with the show he leaves in every WM match.

1)HBK
2)HHH or Taker
That's the list!

I would, but no need. You said Taker had faced "nobodies" and I successfully contradicted you statement. Point over.

Firstly, I'd be interested in what mythical 'rulebook' it is you've "checked" exactly...

Regardless, the common perception is that in the title "Mr Wretlemania" is not kayfaybe derived otherwise MR WM would undoubtedly be Taker (please note: this is not an affirmative 'vote' for Taker.). HBK is widely regarded as Mr Wrestlemania for the TRUE quality of his matches and in turn, theoretically any wrestler, past, present, future, retired or dead could legitimately contend for said accolaid as long as their perfomances were good enough.

So, yeah, I'm well aware that:

Actually the 15-0 is a gimmick the actually title of Mr.WrestleMania was earned by HBK with the show he leaves in every WM match.

S'funny... I'm a big HHH fan, but wouldn't have in a million years nominated him as a prospective 'Mr WM'... I'spose you'd rank WM17 against Taker as one of his best matches but otherwise I woulnd't class any of his WM matches as amongst his best (Granted, I've not seen HBK/HBK/Benoit and I'm assuming that would also qualify, but specifically as a great HH perfomance?).

The people Taker faced are nobodies compared to HBKs list so thats the Point!

HBK has given more imo then Undertaker in his matches its not to say he isn't good but compared to The Showstopper he hasn't matched the level HBK has in passion or drive.

The title Mr.WrestleMania can go to any man that has given a show at WM but their is one that stands above them all and that is HBK. That doesn't mean he can't be knocked out as the Number 1 Mr.WrestleMania. This place and time he is Mr.WM and in 5 years he might not be or maybe he still will that remains to be seen.

I have to agree with most of what reinvented said. HBK's matches far transcend Takers, not that his weren't good too, it's just that HBK's matches for the most part are on a totally different level. I slightly disagree with your statement about Taker facing nobody's, but I still agree with your point of HBK being better.

Airfixx,
So HHH doesn't qualify as Mr. Wresltmania, but Kurt Angle does??? Now I'm not sayin HHH is Mr. Wrestlemania because I don't think he is, probably third in my book. But if you look at just a couple of his matches, vs. Taker was great, the triple threat was amazing, vs. Batista was the kicking off point for Batista's career, and vs. Cena also helped to get Cena over. So to say Angle is more qualified as Mr. Wrestlemania and HHH isn't is ridiculous to me.

@ Reinvented & HHHForever: You 2 are directly comparing a kayfaybe-based legacy to a reality-based one... There's no conclusion to be drawn from such a comparison.

Re: HHH - He'd 'qualify' as it were, but not rank IMO. Like I already said, most of his best matches wren't at WM. Angle (whom I'm only using for examples sake as his name was already knocked back for the exact reasons which I'm attempting to refute.) has had some great WM matches and if you look at the ratio of good to bad it's extremely favourable.

My main point though.... Reinvented, on the two specific points I responded to, you are talking crap. Taker has NOT faced nobodies (Granted a couple of duffers like an old Bundy or Gonzalves, but there's plenty of top-end talent amongst his opponents) and the last part of your most recent post just effectively agrees with my original reply to your comments about Angle (or any other ex-WWE wrestler that performs well enough for that matter).

@ HHHF: I have not said Angle is more qualified than HHH, but on a personal level I reckon Angel has had more good matches than HHH in less appearances. So, subscribing to the popular concensus that HBK is THE bonafide Mr. Wrestlemania (an accolade which that same populace claims is based purely on in ring performance) why would ranking Angel higher than HHH be so rediculous?

I guess we agree on the fact every wrestler that has given a show at WM is Mr.WrestleMania but not the Number 1 WrestleMania is that right?

The whole Angle vs Triple H thing doesn't really matter because I think we both agree that HBK is at the top and both are under him....for the time being.
