You're not saying best ever right? And also Arroyo was a middle reliever, not a closer.

HUGE Arroyo fan here, and you have to be fucking kidding me. Any Ace > Arroyo, dude is just one of the best #2-3 you can have.

Oh I will

Going to miss him because he is a class act. Not to mention the best pitcher in the NL last year. Blue Jays have two of my favorite mets :-(

Arroyo has never had an era Below 3.50. He's had seasons above 5 for crying out loud. He is very very average

The Mets are the loveable losers. I love what they are doing despite losing Dickey and Reyes. Just think of all the money we have for the future, no dickey, reyes, beltran, delgado, pedro, johan, bay, k-rod, reyes. That's about 150 million dropped from the books. I love it lol

Who's gonna win games for you tough? At some point you have to pay to win. Trust me, we tried the money ball thing here, going to be 2 decades without playoffs if we miss in 2013. It's not worth it. Prospects are prospects for a reason, they aren't a proven commodity.

This year? No one really is going to win us games, we are going to give Matt Harvey, Travis D'arnaud, Zach Wheeler, Ike Davis, Rueben Tejada, Lucas Duda, Scott Nieunhaus, all mature into ball players. All under the age of 25? That's exciting stuff IMO

A couple of those will pan out. That's a great group of young talent in addition to Wright and Daniel murphy

Exciting, yes. Just like when we had Lind, Hill, Wells, Rios, McGowan, Accardo, League, etc all guys Under 25 at the time, got us nowhere. Only 1 remains. Just saying, it doesn't always pan out, we even still had Halladay and Burnett at the time.

Well half of those players panned out but your team was always sellers. They sold them all away one by one. The mets have the financial capabilities to keep them on salary. It wasn't until recently that the Blue Jays had started spending big money, but you already knew that.

Exactly we FINALLY spent some money and now IMO have the inside track to the post season. I'll have a full rod on opening day lol.

But who's to say that if you didn't keep all of that talent that you wouldn't have been contenders? You can honestly expect guys that young in their careers to just tear it up right away.

The good rebuttal to that would be the Oakland Athletics of last year but that is VERY rare.

Hill is the only decent one of the bunch. Burnett left, and we had to trade Halladay out of respect. All those other guys went downhill faster than a fat guy chasing a pie.

Decent now maybe. Rios had one of his best years last year. 25 bombs and hit over .300. And you have the audacity to disrespect Vernon Wells? how dare you.
