VIDEO: Highlighting the careers of Kurt Angle, Christian Cage, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Jeff Jarrett, also highlighting the history of the King of the Mountain match.

Pyros explode in the iMPACT! Zone as Mike Tenay and Don West welcome you to TNA Slammiversary.

Tenay: Don, the electricity here is deafening! Welcome everyone to TNA’s 5 Year Anniversary PPV, it’s the one, TNA Slammiversary! Don, I don’t know about you, but this is awesome, I can’t believe it’s been 5 years since TNA started!

West: Mike, it’s hard to believe a small promotion out of Tennessee could get this far, but reality check, we did it! Slammiversary is here, and what a card we have for you tonight!

Christopher Daniels’ music hits as the X Division Champion comes to the ring.

Tenay
: Well Don, this man should rightfully start off TNA’s biggest PPV, a man that has had so much success here in TNA, and he is also the current X Division Champion, that’s right it’s the Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels!

Senshi’s music hits as Senshi comes to the ring without Nash.

West
: Mike, here comes the number one contender, but where is Kevin Nash? Thursday, he said he would he would be with Senshi on Sunday, but where is he.

X Division Championship
(Winner gets the X Division Championship and Kevin Nash’s services)
Christopher Daniels* vs. Senshi

Daniels holds up the belt in Senshi’s face. Senshi smacks it out of his hands and starts nailing him with kicks. He dropkicks Daniels, but he snaps right back up and does a running cross body into mounted punches. Senshi turns over and now mounts punches on Daniels. They both get up into a pause. The crowd roars.

Kevin Nash’s music hits as Nash comes ringside.

Senshi and Daniels wave their hands at him to ignore him and lock up. Daniels puts Senshi up for a suplex, Senshi lands into a neckbreaker on Daniels. He covers him 1…kickout! Daniels gets up only to be kicked in the back of the head by Senshi. Senshi covers Daniels again 1..2..kickout! Nash has a mean look on his face, Senshi is puzzled. He grabs Daniels, but Daniels gets a chin breaker to Senshi, he stumbles around and then Daniels does a running clothesline knocking him down. He covers him 1…2…kickout! Nash still looks pissed, Daniels gives Nash the finger. Daniels turns around to be mid air head scissored into a pin, 1…2…kickout! Senshi laughs picks up Daniels and body slams him. He goes up top and attempts a frog splash, but Daniels gets his knees up on the landing. Daniels covers Senshi 1..2…kickout! Nash has a stern look on his face then shakes his head at Daniels.

Tenay: I don’t understand this situation at all Don, first Nash was like brothers with Senshi, then he had a little bond going with Daniels, now I think he hates both of them!

West: Well Mike, one of these men are going to walk out of here with Mr. Nash’s services, let alone the X Division Championship!

Daniels looks to be trying to impress Nash as he lands a sick mid air backflip landing on Senshi, he covers him 1..2..kickout! Nash laughs. Daniels looks to be panicking as he picks up Senshi and does a back breaker into an arm lock. Senshi panics, but flips over pinning Daniels 1..2..kickout! Senshi picks him up, but Daniels hits him with a sick flying knee, Senshi goes down hard. Nash is pissed and goes on the apron. The ref automatically sees him and tries to get him off. Daniels goes over and taunts him. Senshi comes up behind Daniels and dropkicks Daniels into Nash.

Tenay: A little bit of reversal, now it’s Daniels who got kicked into Nash!

Senshi comes up with the roll up on Daniels 1…2…3!
WINNER: New X Division Champion, Senshi!

West: Wow, what an turn of the tables so to speak! In all the things that went down right here, it’s Senshi who took the belt from The Fallen Angel!

Nash comes in the ring and looks pissed at Senshi. Senshi holds up the belt and smiles at Nash. Nash smiles and shakes his hand. Kevin Nash holds the ropes open as Senshi exits the ring. They walk up the ramp in victory.

BACKSTAGE:

Leticia is in the interviewing area with Samoa Joe.

Leticia: I am here with the Samoa Submission Machine Samoa Joe. Now Joe, after that great showing for the NWA title on iMPACT!, you now have another shot for the NWA title in the King of the Mountain match. What are your thoughts on the controversy surrounding Jeff Jarrett and the match itself?

Joe: Well Leticia, this business is all about pulling one over on someone else. Jeff Jarrett didn’t only pull one over on Kurt, he didn’t pull one over on me, Cage, and AJ, but he pulled one over on every wrestling fan. This man, Jarrett, has been in the business for a long time and once he sees and opening, he will kill his own mother to take it.

Leticia: Well, how do you think Kurt will react once he gets in the ring with Jarrett?

Joe: It doesn’t matter, because Kurt, nothing against you, but you better damn hope you get to Jarrett before I do! There is nothing in this world that will keep me from gaining my first world title in this company, even if it means going toe to toe with Kurt Angle or Jeff Jarrett, or whoever, I will make their ass tap out! Joe is going to Kill You!

Slammiversary Zone:

Tenay
: Well Don, heavy words from Samoa Joe, all throughout the night, we will be hearing from all 5 competitors in the King of the Mountain match tonight, because this is the most star studded King of the Mountain match in TNA history Don!

West: Well Mike, speaking on TNA history, it’s our 5 year anniversary show Slammiversary! Let’s take a minute and relive one of TNA’s most memorable moments!

VIDEO: Sting returns to TNA at Final Resolution.

Sting’s music hits as Sting comes out of the tunnel with Team WCW, Scott Steiner and DDP.

Shane Douglas’ music hits as Shane comes down the ramp with Team ECW following far behind him.

Team WCW vs. Team ECW Lumberjack Match
Sting vs. Shane Douglas

Sting and Shane Douglas go face to face in the middle of the ring. Shane starts screaming ECW! ECW! ECW! Sting laughs and slaps him in the face. Shane fights back with a strong left, but Sting ducks. He comes up with a right hook, but Sting ducks again. He fires a left and Sting blocks and starts hard chopping him. He swings Douglas into the corner, then back elbows him in the face 3 times. Shane stumbles around and gets bull dogged by Sting. Sting covers him 1..2..kickout! Sting picks him up but Shane comes back with an atomic drop on Sting then shoulder blocks him. Shane goes to the corner to take a breather. Steiner grabs him by the throat from the outside, but Shane rakes his eyes. Sting kicks Shane in the back and whips him across the ring to connect with a scoop slam. He covers him 1…2…kickout! Sting picks him up and attempts a body slam, but Shane escapes out the back door and swings Sting to the ropes, Raven pulls the ropes down forcing Sting to fall outside the ring.

West: This is where it starts to get good Mike! The Lumberjacks take over!

Raven holds Sting as Rhino pounds him. After a couple shots they throw him back into the ring. Shane covers him 1..2..kickout! Shane can’t believe it. He starts screaming and shouting at Rhino and Raven. Sting ambushes him from behind and hits the reverse DDT. He covers him 1..2..kickout! Sting leg drops him. He grabs him and points to the side where DDP and Steiner are, he hurls him towards the ropes, but Shane counters and Sting goes over the top rope. Rhino and Raven rush to the other side of the ring, but DDP and Steiner stop them from getting to Sting. Sting eventually gets up and into the ring where Shane Douglas continues where he left off clubbing Sting across the back. He slams his face against the mat over and over, but Sting powers out and they both get to stand up and into the lock up they go. Sting gets Douglas into a headlock, but Shane pushes him away towards the ropes and Raven pulls the ropes down causing Sting to fall to the floor. Shane starts screaming at them.

Douglas: Do it right this time!

Raven stares at Rhino, they both look at Shane, then look back at Sting. They help Sting up and then walk up the ramp. Douglas is speechless. Sting gets in the ring behind Douglas’ back. Douglas goes for the cheap shoulder block, but Sting catches him and backdrops him. Sting smiles, grabs him, and throws him over the top rope.

Sting: Don’t go easy one him!

Steiner and DDP beat the hell out of him. Steiner body presses him onto the guard rail. Shane gets up and falls right into the Diamond Cutter by DDP. The Naturals run down the ramp. They run towards DDP and Steiner, they brawl it out as Sting exits the ring. He goes to get Shane’s body and throws it back into the ring. He stands him up and acts like he is crying whipping his eyes towards Shane then hurls him towards the corner. He runs across the ring and back landing the Stinger Splash. He gets behind him and nails the Stinger Death Drop. Sting screams towards the audience as they explode. Sting locks in the Scorpion Death Lock. Shane taps right away.
WINNER: Sting

Shane crawls out of the ring as DDP and Scott Steiner run into the ring. They raise each others hands now that Team WCW has defeated Team ECW. Shane Douglas falls off the apron onto the floor. The Naturals go to help him. They get him on their shoulders and escort him up the ramp.

VIDEO: History between Jim Cornette, Lance Hoyt, and Monty Brown.

BACKSTAGE:

Jeremy Borash is standing with AJ Styles.

JB: Jeremy Borash here with the Phenomenal AJ Styles. AJ, tonight, King of the Mountain, a chance for gold, what’s going through your head?

Styles: Well Jeremy, I do have a lot of things flowing through my head. This is my first chance at gold in a long time, and well I plan on making the best of the situation tonight. All throughout the night, you will here pure crap from all these guys in the match tonight, but look at me, the Phenomenal AJ Styles, I am the a performer that always performs at my best. There is no one in this company that could perform in a big match situation unlike the Phenomenal One can. So Jeremy have you skinny little head glued to the TV during King of the Mountain to see the Phenomenal One end Angle’s 3 month reign as World Champ come to an end tonight!

VIDEO: The First Ultimate X match highlights.

West: Well Mike, you just saw another highlight from TNA’s 5 year history, but getting back to Slammiversary, it’s time, can Jim Cornette finally jack Monty Brown out of this company, or will Monty Brown finally break his suspension and come back to TNA? We are about to find out!

Lance Hoyt’s music hits as Lance Hoyt and TNA Management’s Jim Cornette come down the ramp.

Tenay
: Well look here Don, the man who sold his soul to the devil, it’s none other than Big Lane from Big D, Lance Hoyt!

Monty Brown’s music hits as Monty Brown explodes out of the tunnel to a huge ovation.

(If Monty Brown wins, his suspension is lifted, but if Lance Hoyt beats Brown, Monty is still suspended from TNA Wrestling.)
Monty Brown vs. Lance Hoyt w/ Jim Cornette

The crowd is jumping in the iMPACT! Zone fully behind Monty Brown as this is his first match back in TNA. Lance screams at the audience to shut the hell up. Monty Brown starts motioning to Lance Hoyt that he is going down. Lance wants a piece of Brown and they lock up. Brown pushes Hoyt back, but Lance powers back and pushes Brown back. They unlock and the crowd is going insane. Monty Brown does his motions of the Serengeti. Lance turns around, but turns back going for the clothesline, but Monty ducks and Lance goes to the ropes, Monty bounces off looking for the early Pounce, but Lance hangs onto the ropes and exits the ring. The crowd boos. He rendezvous’ with Jim Cornette. Cornette holds his clip board in front of his mouth so Brown can’t tell what he’s saying. Brown gets out of the ring circling the ring around to where they are and blindsides Lance Hoyt. He starts stomping him down on the outside. He grabs him and whips him into the ring posts. Brown goes for the shoulder block, but Hoyt moves and Brown slams into the post. Lance pulls Brown’s arm throw the turnbuckles slamming his head against the turnbuckle again. He places him on the apron with his head hanging over it. He stands on the apron signaling for the Big Leg Drop. He attempts and nails it smashing the chest and neck of Monty Brown. He pushes him deep into the center of the ring and pins him 1…kickout! Lance can’t believe it and kicks the ropes. Monty gets up and hooks him and nails a German Suplex on Lance. Monty grabs the ropes and does his little head twitch motion and the crowd gets even louder. Jim Cornette screams at Monty, but it doesn’t affect him much. Monty grabs Lance and does a double arm hook hip toss. He covers Lance 1..2..kickout! Monty puts his hand on his chin and motions he has an idea. He picks up Lance and hooks him into a belly to belly. Lance hits hard and roles out of the ring. Cornette goes to Hoyt on the outside and helps him. Monty exits the ring and comes up behind Jim. Cornette turns around and is scarred of the Alpha Male. Jim hightails it and runs around the ring, once he makes a revolution Lance is conscious and clotheslines the running Monty Brown. Lance slams Brown’s head against the steel stairs and throws him back into the ring. Lance bounces off the ring and attempts the leg drop, but Monty Brown moves and there is no one home for Hoyt. Hoyt gets up holding him bottom, Brown grabs him and hurls him across the ring bouncing off the ropes himself and connects with a wicked Pounce! He pins him 1…2…3!
WINNER: Monty Brown

Jim Cornette quickly runs in the ring and smacks Brown over the head with his clipboard. Brown is hardly affected and turns around and smiles at Cornette. He whips him across the ring and Pounces Cornette out of his shoes again.

Tenay: Right out of his shoes! Just like at Lockdown! Monty Brown can now legally wrestler in TNA!

West: Not to mention that was also a very good match Mike! This night is incredible!

BACKSTAGE:

Leticia is backstage getting ready to interview Christian Cage.

Leticia: Alright, I am standing here with Christian…

Cage: Toots, please, call me “The Instant Classic” Christian Cage, think you can remember all that? Good.

Leticia: Alright I am here with the “Instant Classic” Christian Cage. Cage tonight you will be competing in the King of the Mountain Match, the most star studded Mountain match in the company’s history, after hearing what AJ and Joe had to say, what are your thoughts?

Cage: Well, first of all, you did a great job articulating “The Instant Classic”, you should be proud. However as far as King of the Mountain match tonight, it’s simple, I have reigned as NWA Champion only once after I beat Jeff Jarrett, well, look at this, it’s another moment in TNA’s 5 Year History…

VIDEO: Christian Cage wins the NWA World title from Jeff Jarrett at Against All Odds 2006.

Cage: Love watching that. You know, I have beaten every star in this match in one on one action. So it’s just one mega match for me, and if you are really a Christian Cage nut, you would happen to know I am no stranger to ladders. The belt is coming home, don’t let my 2 losses to Angle on PPV fool you, it’s not one on one this time, so anyting could happen…

VIDEO: History between LAX and 3LK.

Tenay: There you see the parking lot at Stage 21 in Orlando, we are ready for the “turf war” between TNA’s rival gangs, the Latin American Exchange and the 3 Live Kru.

West: This is going to get nasty real fast.

LAX is standing in the lost waiting for the 3 Live Kru.

A pimped out Escalade pulls up outside the iMPACT! zone and out pops out Konnan, BG James and Ron Killings
.

Parking Lot Brawl
LAX vs. 3LK
BG James and Truth face off against Hernandez and Homicide. Hernandez has the NWA Championship belt brass knucks in his left hand and clips BG across the face. Truth starts nailing Hernandez, but Homicide pulls him off and knees him in the gut. Hernandez and Homicide start clubbing Truth across the back and Truth goes down. LAX starts stomping the hell out of him, but BG runs in with a chair and clobbers Hernandez across the back. Homicide goes for BG but he gets hit across the skull with the chair. BG goes to pin Homicide 1..2..kickout! Konnan starts getting pissed and cheers BG and Truth on. Truth goes over to Hernandez and pushes him against a wall and jacks him across the face. Hernandez is busted open, but rakes Truth in the eyes. Hernandez bends over trying to whip the blood out of his face, but Truth connects with a scissors kick. He pins him 1..2..Homicide jumps onto Truth and nails him across the back of the head. BG comes over and pulls him off and body slams him on the concrete. Truth comes over and leg drops the downed Homicide. They get up and Hernandez double clotheslines them. Hernandez pulls BG over to the semi circle of cars and slams him front first on the hood and repeatedly slams his head against the metal hood. Truth gets up only to start brawling it out with Homicide. Homicide whips Truth into a car. He goes for a splash, but Truth moves and Homicide lands right on the hood of the car. He bounces off and Truth bull dogs him on the cement. Hernandez runs across the lost to where Truth is but Truth connects with a flying clothesline onto Hernandez.

Konnan: Yea Truth homie, that’s how we get it done!

Truth pins Hernandez 1…2…kickout! BG goes towards Homicide and has a screwdriver in his hand. He starts gouging at Homicide’s head. Homicide is busted open now. Truth signals to BG and they double backdrop Hernandez onto the hood of the car. Hernandez roles off. Homicide comes charging at 3LK but they monkeyflip Homicide in mid air and Homicide lands on the windshield cracking it.

Tenay: Oh my god! He just went through that wind shield!

West: Didn’t I tell you it was going to get ugly????

Truth picks up Hernandez BG connects with A pump Handle slam on Hernandez and then Truth nails a scissor kick on Hernandez and pins him 1…2…3!
WINNER: 3LK

Konnan: Yea bitches, this our land ho’s, get yo pathetic asses on outta here, my boys BG and Killings just owned all yo bitch asses!

Tenay: Wow, what a brutal parking lot brawl!

West: Well Mike if it had to be settled in a parking lot, did you expect anything else???

VIDEO: Jeff Jarrett winning 2 separate King of the Mountain Matches.

BACKSTAGE:

Jeremy Borash is backstage with The King of the Mountain Jeff Jarrett.

JB: Jeremy…

Jarrett: Borash I am going to stop you right there. I have a lot of questions to answer, trust me I know. Why did I slam Angle over the back of the head with a guitar? Well I will just tell you it was best for TNA, best for this company. I couldn’t give a crap about Joe, Styles, or Cage for that matter. My beef is with Angle, and tonight I finish what I started last Thursday!

Jarrett walks away.

JB: Wow, what was that about???

VIDEO: AMW defeats Triple X after a brutal 6 Sides of Steel match.

Tenay: Don, it’s time, you just saw one of AMW’s most memorable matches, but this is probably going to top it. There is so much history between AMW and 3D, but there is one part to this match that is a disadvantage for AWM, this time it’s Team 3D’s choice! AMW had a bull rope match last month, so Team 3D chose a tables match for Slammiversary!

West: Yea and AMW still lost in their own match! I don’t know but if AMW wants those belts they are going to have to pull it out of their you know where!

AMW’s music hits as James Storm and Chris Harris come down the ramp with Gail Kim, Kim’s neck is in a neckbrace from the 3D through a table on Thursday.

Team 3D comes out of the tunnel to their music and make it down to the ring.

NWA World Tag Team Championship
Tables Match
Team 3D* vs. AMW w/ Gail Kim

The crowd starts chanting Team 3D uncontrollably. Storm starts exchanging punches with Ray and Harris starts exchanging punches with Devon. Ray and Devon knock both of AMW down. Ray chases Storm into the corner where Ray starts reigning blows onto him. He elbows him straight on the forehead. Devon grabs Harris and suplexes him. Ray whips Storm towards Devon and Devon flips him and he lands getting hung up on the top rope. Devon and Ray then double clothesline him over the top rope. Harris stumbles around and gets double shoulder blocked by Team 3D. Storm crawls on the ground outside pulling out a table from outside the ring. He stands it up against the apron and Devon sees him and follows up with a baseball slide forcing the table into Storm’s face. Storm hits the steel barricade. Devon goes outside and pounds Storm’s head with some rights and whips him over the barricade. Devon goes into the audience and brawls with Storm. Storm low blows Devon and throws him into the a nearby wall. Ray goes outside for the table. Harris goes up top and cross bodies onto Brother Ray onto the floor. Storm goes back over the barricade and helps Harris, they set up a table on the floor. They try to lay Ray on the table, but he fights back with back elbows to both of them. He grabs both of their heads and clock them together. Devon stumbles over the barricade and meets Ray. They grab Storm and pull him into the ring. Ray holds his legs as Devon goes up top for Team 3D’s classic double team. Harris gets up and pushes Devon off the top turnbuckle. Ray runs up the turnbuckles looking for a superplex. They struggle up top for a minute, but Harris headbutts Ray and he goes down. Storm grabs Ray and with Harris already on the top rope, AMW nails the Death Sentence. Storm automatically goes outside the ring and gets a table from under the ring. He slides it into the ring and opens it up. Devon comes back in the ring and goes to clothesline Storm, but Storm drop toe holds Devon and he goes face first onto the table. Harris starts talking trash to Devon as he slams his head against the table over and over. Storm grabs Ray and lays him on the table. Harris stops Storm and say says….

Harris: No James, I want to spear his fatass through that table!

Harris shoves Ray off the table and places the table vertically in the corner. He stands up Ray in front of the table and Storm superkicks Ray. Brother Ray falls onto the table leaning against it. Harris goes across the ring signaling for the spear. Devon pops up on the outside of the corner Harris is positioned in and grabs his ankles. He pulls his legs with the post hitting him in below the belt. Storm goes outside the ring after Devon but Devon shoulder blocks him. Brother Ray pulls Harris up from under the bottom turnbuckle and Bubba Bombs him. Ray picks up the table from the corner and sets it back up in the center of the ring. Devon runs in the ring in back of Harris and signals for the 3D and nails it on Harris through the table.
WINNER: Team 3D

Tenay: What a great showcase of TNA’s tag team division, another hard fought battle by AMW, but coming up short in the long run once again!

West: AMW was in control for the most part of that match Mike, I don’t know what went wrong, or what’s next for AMW in a matter of fact!

BACKSTAGE:

Leticia is backstage with the NWA World Champion Kurt Angle.

Leticia: Alright you have heard with every man in the King of the Mountain match here at Slammiversary, and now we come to the last man, the defending NWA World Heavyweight Champion….wrestling’s only Olympic Gold Medalist Kurt Angle.

Angle: I don’t want to say much, because I would just be saying stuff the world knows I already think. I am definitely the most focused competitor about to go into King of the Mountain, it’s my first, hell in this company, I have had a lot of firsts, and I overcame all of them! AJ, Samoa Joe, and even Christian Cage, I respect all of you, but Jeff Jarrett, I have no respect for the man and tonight, I am going to break his damn ankle! It’s real…it’s damn real!

VIDEO: Kurt Angle comes to TNA.

Tenay: Well Don, you just saw Kurt Angle’s thoughts on the main event, then you saw one of TNA’s most memorable moments, that’s when Kurt Angle made the jump to TNA. He has had quite the run here in TNA, he is the reigning NWA World Champion since Against All Odds for starters!

West: Mike, but Kurt Angle has never been in a King of the Mountain match, and I fear that is a major disadvantage! Jarrett has been in all of them, the past 3, he has won 2 of them. In my eyes Jarrett is a surefire win tonight!

Tenay: Well Don, don’t forget, AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, and Christian Cage are also in this match, anyone of them could climb the ladder and become the New King of the Mountain here tonight capping off TNA’s 5 Year Anniversary PPV Slammiversary!
