There's no reason for it. You had Ryan Braun who was tested positive only get a 65 game suspension for PEDs. But A-Rod who never tested positive gets a full year. That's bullshit.
I get what you're saying but the incriminating evidence is substantial from what I've heard/read.

Rangers should be good

The Rangers are the WWE Creative Team of MLB. You give them gold and they can't do anything but screw the pooch. They should have won two or three World Series in the last six years and couldn't close the deal.

Prince is a good improvement. I think they will be in the mix come September, but like you said, they have the tendency to choke.

The evidence is just another ploy by the MLB to get A-Rod out. In my eyes if the guy never failed a drug test, then he's clean. MLB is doing whatever they can to get him out of the MLB because you got every idiot out there accusing him of drugs.

This. Also remember, not only has the case gone through the Commissioner's office, which suspended him for even longer, an arbitrator upheld the one-year suspension. And Rodriguez's attorneys have made some noise about a lawsuit, but they're just blowing smoke. He's going to sit for 2014.

I'm continuing to stand behind my crucial point. Did he fail a single fucking drug test? NO.

But why would they want to get him out? I don't see a motive for them wanting Rodriguez out of the game. He was one of the "best three shortstops in MLB history" (with apologies to Honus Wagner) a decade or so back, along with "Nomaa" and Jeter. He was supposed to be the guy who hit 800 home runs in his career. Why would they want him out of the game now?

Because now everyone out there is out to get A Rod now that all these swarms of reports are in about him on the drugs. Biased journalism doesn't exactly help either. He passed 12 drug tests yet anyone else in the MLB can fail them and only serve around 50 games of suspension. That's a load of garbage.

I'm not saying you're wrong about Rodriguez getting a bum deal, but this is a circular argument. Everybody's out to get him because there are reports of him using drugs. And there are biased reports of drugs because everyone's out to get him.

My question is this: where is the genesis of people wanting to see him booted out of baseball? How did he go from being the "next Hank Aaron" (also heard him called the "Latino Hank Aaron") to being the hated A-Rod Who Must Be Kicked Out of Baseball? If you can find that answer, then you'll have something I can buy into. Until you (or somebody else) do, I have to believe there's some proof here that he used PED's and spoofed the test (not exactly a hard thing to do; I know high school athletes who used steroids and could get around random drug testing).

The hate for him circulated during the middle of 2013, in which A Rod was injured and couldn't play. After some rehab, he lied to fans that he was returning and cleared to compete. Hate gathered from his team and his fans for both his cockiness and lying eventually tied into the reports about Biogenesis.

The stigma that he carries around. Also, I think they want to prevent another roid user passing The Sultan of Swat, and Mr Aaron. I know, Bonds has the record, but he's another guy that was basically run out of the league. If you look, Bonds was still producing when he left.

Yes, in 2003
I already referenced the 2003 incident and although he supposedly failed that one, others like Ortiz were also reportedly using steroids. During the time period punishments weren't given, but I think you're seeing what I'm getting at. If not, it's the fact that A Rod is specifically targeted because of his repertoire.

Precisely, I know what you're getting at, and I can't honestly say I agree with how they went about getting the evidence. It felt like a witch hunt, but I can't help but feel like the right thing was done. The year sentence does feel extreme, when in comparison to Braun like you noted, was only suspended 65.
