pwinsider said:
Earlier this week, during the Smackdown spoilers, we noted that WWE had to film a match between Sin Cara and Heath Slater twice due to a number of moves being botched during the initial taping in Calgary, Alberta Canada.

PWInsider.com has confirmed that it was actually WWE developmental talent Hunico working as Cara in both matches. The original Cara was at the event and dressed to wrestle, but management opted not to use him on TV. It's most interesting he wasn't used, as he was free and clear from his WWE Wellness Suspension.

In an update from my earlier story on Sin Cara, WWE sources are indicating that the original Sin Cara (Mistico) was sent home from the Calgary Smackdown taping after meeting with WWE officials. Mistico left the building before the tapings ended.

Going forward, sources claim that Hunico will exclusively portray the Sin Cara character, which WWE wants to maintain as its been very popular among kids and in merchandise sales.
Everyone I have spoken to expected the artist formerly known as Mistico to depart WWE, but nothing has been 100% confirmed on that front.

I find it ironic that Mistico is out because he would botch every now and then yet this week Hunico was under the mask and they had to re-tape the match. They should just leave Mistico under the mask because honestly he hasn't been around that long and is still learning how to work the WWE style.

Be very interesting if he is released because he was someone WWE chased for many years and was a huge signing for them. The good news for WWE is they already have someone they can put under the mask because there is no way they will get rid of the Sin Cara character.

Oh so Hunico was the one under the mask for the match re-taping? Well that makes this all the more interesting then.

Not really surprised to hear that the WWE are considering releasing Mistico due to various issues, but maybe they should hold off for a little bit and assess whether keeping Hunico as Sin Cara is the right move. After all, Hunico fucked up bad this week after a solid debut, so he may do it again and again.

Yeah the word is is that Hunico wrestled this week's tapings not Mistico. It should give them some thought that maybe they should persist with Mistico under the mask, yes he has made some mistake but many other wrestlers do including the guy that replaced him. One bad match shouldn't mean the end of it for a wrestler and I hope that WWE don't make a rash decision. They need to give him time. They should promote Hunico as Hunico and have those two feud for a couple of months as I think they can work well together.

The entrance was botched (Didn't even edit)...

This kinda sucks, I don't like the hype on Sin Cara. He needs to prove himself

If WWE gets rid of Mist-Cara it would just show that they were in it just to make money and they don't care about people. Would anyone be surprised by that?

You have to take into consideration that WWE also do not like Misti-Cara attitude and some other things. I dunno. Going to be interesting what happens with Misti-Cara and Sin-ico. If anything this just shows that they need to send ALL talent to FCW or whatever the hell their developmental territory is.

I laughed when i read this. WWE is just screwed up. I agree that he wasnt ready for WWE and shopuld have gone through development so they could have grown him as a talent. But I really dont care cause Hunico doesnt seem much better

Especially since he is used to wrestling a completely different style it was a mistake by WWE to bring him directly to the main roster. Even if they had him working dark matches for a lot longer, as in at least three months, it would have helped him get used to the WWE style. If they do bring in another star from Mexico then I am sure they won't go directly to the main roster.

He should have stuck in FCW like Peter Orlov is right now.

I'm glad he's still in FCW that dude because he's wrestled Mexican style for so long he's adapting.

They should have done with him what they did with Del Rio. He wrestled in FCW, and on the road in dark matches, for around six months before the vignettes started to air for his debut.

I had forgotten about Orlov. Not sure if he will make it to the main roster but I hope that he will. He has been in FCW for nearly a year now.

Agree with everyone here he was such a big name they rushed him and he had no time to adapt to the WWE style or American life. Kinda harsh to fire him but kinda degrading to send him down now.

In the end I don't think they will fire him. When they tour Mexico all the fans there will know that it isn't actually Mistico under the Sin Cara mask anymore so it will be a flop. Apparently though the big issue with him hasn't been his matches it is his attitude. He acts like he is a top star but he needs to remember that he isn't in Mexico anymore and that he has to earn everyones respect. Maybe Rey can have a word to him and get him on track before he gets himself fired.

The report I read was that they weren't happy with his attitude when he returned from suspension. This is all just ridiculous. If it's because he messes up, that's reasonable because like many has said, he has worked a completely different style his entire career. The biggest problem I've seen is that people he wrestles don't know how to keep up with his style. The majority of his botches that I've noticed seem to be from miscommunication between Mistico and his opponent.
If it's his attitude, if Randy Orton went to Mexico would you expect him to act like a rookie?! Mistico was one of the biggest names in Mexican wrestling, he has a GIGANTIC following down there, so why would you expect him to come in and act like an indy guy who is ecstatic to make it to FCW???

Hunico was used on Smackdown tonight and was quite impressive...

I do believe Mistico will be gone.

Sin Cara (Hunico) kicked Daniel Bryan at SuperSmackdown, turning heel. Looks like the Sin Cara vs Sin Cara storyline is about to begin. According to sources, Mistico will be back. I wonder how they will introduce the real Sin Cara to the fans without any of the two saying a word...

They will have the evil blue Sin Cara who will eventually start wearing black and then the returning Sin Cara will wear White. But really I thought I read the current one (evil) could speak near perfect english? Maybe DB will be the mouth piece for the good one.
