Are they technically unified? I mean do both sets have to be defended at one time, or would they do only defending one I wonder. Like could they lose the Raw or Smackdown, but keep the other?

Last time the World Champion had 2 belts in 2013-2014, both belts were always defended. Eventually they just made it easier and gave Brock 1

Roman and the Usos won unification matches. Same as Jericho and Orton. They held 2 belts but it was considered one Championship
