And I think that brings it onto a big point in this subject. Should AEW do the "right thing" (not objectionable obviously) and handle it as they think is fair, or should they handle it in a way that's best for their business in terms of fans/sponsorship, etc. Because when society itself is like this it's hard to necessarily blame companies for placating, it's capitalism really. Will their make more money by suspending or not suspending Sammy? Shame that that's how I believe a lot of companies look at it though.

The problem taking such a strong stance to side with a particular way your viewers may think is you alienate the other side.

If AEW had straight up fired Sammy, I doubt I'd have ever watched AEW again.

I’ve said the same thing about Hugh Jackman a few times in my life. I’m not going to go to his house and actually do anything, it’s just a way of describing how much I creepily love him. I get how it can have an impact on a rape victim, but, just about anything anyone says has an impact on someone. In the end, gutting the guy for 4 year old comments is ridiculous. If those were his actions, different story, but, words? For me, just stupid to say, sure, but, if this is how the world works now, all of our bosses would be sending us to sensitivity training.
