Nah, just sick of corporate scum taking advantage of people.
Think of it another way. If there were no such injustice in the world, would there be room for people like you to complain about it?

This isn't a knock on your beliefs because I don't entirely disagree. It's just interesting to note that soap boxes wouldn't exist if there weren't some form of evil somewhere lurking in the background.

I always feel that good doesn't need evil to exist but evil needs good to exist. But that is a topic for another day.
You are right in a sense but my complaining is more aimed at frustration that these companies have so much money and continually treat people like crap.

McDonalds is such a troll of a restaurant. I didn't know this happened until a few minutes ago. I watch "Healthy Junk Food" on Youtube and they did a video on it. Apparently, because of Rick and Morty, they ran a promotion for the Szechuan Sauce promising posters, sauce, and stickers to "said" locations. What they didn't tell people is that most of these "said" locations are only going to have 20 packets of the sauce, posters, and stickers. That is it.

Now for me, it would be stupid to wait in line for hours and hours just to get one sauce and one poster (with stickers). I don't do this for anything. It is a giant marketing scheme to get (trick) people to buy something. This is no different than using Pokemon Go and placing stops and "rare" Pokemon by McDonalds buildings. Not sure if they went through with that or not since I never played that game but still, the same rule applies here; Trick people into being near or in said location, and they will likely spend money. I guess by only supplying a small amount of the items, they assumed the other hundreds of people to show up would at least spend money on their horrific food.

The fans don't bother me. I ignore them, like I said in the R&M thread. I won't let people ruin a show for me.
However, this kind of stuff kind of makes me mad. They used a fan base to make money off of.

This kind of marketing is not only troll-like in nature, it just shows how crappy and corrupt the McDonalds company is. They spend VERY little on supplies knowing the demand would be high only hoping to get money out of people, which they did. It would not surprise me if they had planned on bringing the sauce back entirely (for a limited time) and promotionalized it along side their Monopoly garbage. They allowed people to just stand outside (hundreds of them) knowing damn well they only had a very limited supply.

I wouldn't do it myself. I am not a big enough fan of anything to wait in line for something so small and trivial but for the people who did and wanted to, this company shat all over them and it kind of makes Rick and Morty makers/owners look bad as well for teaming up with such corporate scum.

And not to get political here, but this is why we all should do our best to support local, smaller chain restaurants over these corporate money hounds.

Should you or I care about this at all? Probably not but it is the principle that places like this get such high praise and payout while being utter aholes.

Fuck supporting local just for the "principle". All of these so-called "corporate money hounds" all started local too, and many people seem to forget that. It's not like one day Mr. Croc woke up and decided to build a few thousand restaurants globally. What you and so many others claim to be scummy corporations are really guilty of is being successful, and if small local businesses are going to compete, then they need to have a better quality product and ways to get people in the doors. Y'know, similar to how McDonald's did this whole "let's use some shitty cartoon that all the sheep like to drive business to our stores." As mentioned above, this is simply marketing. It's no different than any other "limited edition" promotion. If the demand is high and the supply is low, that gets people to buy your shit, whether it's the rare item or whatever, you're still making money, and obviously the other products that people buy are of some kind of decent quality, or people wouldn't buy it. It's when the demand is low and the supply is high where you have a problem, because that means people either don't like your product, or they don't know about it.

McDonald's really shouldn't be blamed for having sound business strategies, the basic foundations of which are followed by most every successful business. The only thing they're really guilty of is not serving regular food during all hours. How come some lazy stoners can sleep in til 3 and still get their hotcakes and hashbrowns whenever the fuck they want, but I get off work at 7 in the morning and can't get a Big Mac and fries? It doesn't mean I go there and spend money, it means I go somewhere else because in my mind, McDonald's doesn't exist in my universe until at least 10:30

I love how a shitty cartoon which is just a poorly executed ripoff of Regular Show done in the typical Family Guy-clone style could cause this much boredom and disinterest in anyone who has functioning brain cells.
No need to thank me

Where yo' grandma stay.
Rick and Morty is nothing like Family Guy, an easier comparison would be futurama. The problem is the creators wanted make a smart and creative cartoon and it just caught on with the internet, the worst audience imaginable. The show is fine it's the fanbase and the haters of the fan base that make it seem like shit.
