Can we talk about how fucking awesome this game is?? Picked it up a couple of days ago for the PC for £8 on a daily deal and don't regret the purchase one single bit.

I'm loving the graphics, the gameplay, jumping back and forth over time to see how they got to where they etc.

I'm up to Chapter XII so try and not spoil anything for me.

I bought it for the 360 when it launched, Midnight release and all, but randomly put it down when I got busy at work. Just picked it up a couple weeks ago to finally finish it. I can tell you that it's fantastic, and I absolutely loved it. It got better and better the farther into the game I got. Fucking amazing.

I still appreciate how if you've beaten the harder challenges in the game, like completing the hardest difficulty and New York Minute mode, the game gives you cheats. So every now and then I play through the game with shit like invincibility, infinite bullet time and bullet cam with every kill, just to savour the jaw dropping brutality and dive around in slow motion.

But anyway, this was one of my favourite games of last year let down only by the overblown visual effects and a few engine glitches.

The bullet can just never ceases to amaze me. The first time I saw it with the shotgun and all the pellets piercing the enemies, my jaw literally dropped. Same when you use a machine gun and keep popping bullets into them to stop them from falling to the ground and their arms are flailing around like in the movies. I love the rag doll physics too. I'm playing it on medium difficulty at the mo and that's quite tricky in places so I dread to think how hard it will be on a higher difficulty.

Seriously one of my favourite games. Wish I could continue playing it, but my 360 it busted. I would get it for ps3, but it's pricey now. I remember when I was looking for a new game at Wal-Mart and this lady and her son walked into the gaming section. Max Payne was one for like 20 bucks, and this was only about 6 months after it's release. The boy said it was on for cheap, she said it must have been a crappy game. Gave the bitch a good talking to and explained why it was such a great game. Rockstar doesn't fuck around when it comes to games.

I don't remember how far I got, but I did enjoy the game. Will definitely pick it up when I can.

You can spoil it for me, I seriously won't be bothered. Send me a PM if ya want.

It just seems like one of those video games that would have such an epic conclusion.

It's more of a case of I prefer judging it the second time around.

Not that I know of, I just prefer judging it after playing it through again.

However there is an option to kill a guy but I was too busy listening to the dialogue to shoot him so I missed out on that, I guess that's a slightly different ending.

Great game, highly under-appreciated because it was made by Rockstar.

The level that sticks out the most is the Football arena.
