Matt Hardy V.2...ahhhh

So last night at Mania we saw Matt come out with a brand new look. He's got himself some new tights and a...uh...captains jacket? lol
He's finally breaking away from the whole Hardy look. Personally I liked it, it suits him well. With his win over Jeff hopefully they'll try to explore what he can do as a heel over on Smackdown and perhaps see if he can cut it in the main event.

What do you guys think of Matt's new, more serious, look?

I like it, its about time also. I think that he should be more serious and take out the mid card faces and once and a while go to main events. World title picture around the ruble time this year i say for him nothing more.

Not sure about the tights. Too much like what The Edgeheads wore. And reeks of Christian York and Joey Matthews to me for some reason.

I said this once he turned on Jeff. He needed a new look to set him aside from Jeff, but yea, new theme totally. The song reminds me of old Matt Hardy too much, look what Orton's new theme did for him, before getting eaten by HHH last night of course, but he needs a new theme bad.

I liked it, it fits him well and I hope he can be taken more as a singles competitor now. Would love to see him get 1 world title run (besides ECW) before hes done with wrestling.

I well liked the new look, and that jacket was badass.

I'm not Matt Hardy's biggest fan (though I enjoyed Matt V1) but last night he took a big step towards changing that for me, and for a lot of other people I'm sure. So glad he won as well; it just wouldn't of worked if he had jobbed to Jeff.

I think he should have a theme song like Chris Jericho's something that gives him time to build up heat with the crowd

I'm sure a new theme song is only a matter of time. It's truly amazing what new ring clothes and music can do for someone.
Orton's "Voices" takes his character to a whole new level
As soon as Jericho put on those short trunks it gave him a whole new vibe.

Last night my friends and I were talking and all agreed...it made Matt look serious, and I know they're just tights but I seriously thought..."THAT...is someone who can be put in the main event".

Tights make you seem as if your in the big leagues where as shorts n combats are to me indie wrestlers.

Yea I noticed the new look and loved it, It actually fits the heel apeal there trying to give him. But as has been said now they need to get rid of the theme its way to face for his heel character.

Serioulsy though, is it me or should he have gone to a different outfitters to Edge... Save for the logo's, they're exactly the same!

I think WWE shouuld be careful... The irony of similarities or potential future alliances betwen Edge & Matt resonates a bit more than usual given their past.


Personally I thought the shirt & trousers approach they took when he was doing promos worked much better to me... He could have done with a more conservative look (which would help even further to distance himself from Jeff & their past.). The current look is a bit funky considering the bleak-minded character that is Matt Hardy V.2.
